J.J. Abrams' Star Trek

Recommended Posts

It's about time another Star Trek movie was made. I hope Abrams does a TNG-era movie after this one.

Unfortunately I don't think this will happen as it appears the hardcore fans are being pushed into more of a sidethought, which isunderstandable really as there is far more revenue potential in appealing to the masses. Even myself as a hardcore fan can admit that! :p

I do feel that the TNG/DS9/VOY Era needs to be rounded off somehow though - just how would it be done!??

those interior shots dont look too good..shiny/plastic like something from speed racer movie :p

tng movie would be great, but what would be greater is something completely different...lets say another 200-300 years into the future after tng :p

Here is an early Spill.com preview review of Star Trek by Carlyle. He's a hardcore trekkie like most of us, and he...well just listen to his review and you'll be happy.

Just be aware, it is NSFW as it has quite a bit of harsh language as per usual with anything from Spill.com on their audio section :)

Oh, and he makes it a point not to spoil anything. He discusses in very small detail the basic plot and some basic stuff about the story and characters. But other than that, he doesn't spoil anything.

I'm sold.

I find it interesting that the uniform in Star Trek Online, and the uniform in the official comic book are the same..

From my friend at Paramount, I'm going to attempt to shoot them a 30 second short promo of sorts.

That is awesome, you should totally send me one of those little book thingies. :p

I'm sold.

I know right. As a hardcore Trekkie I can't wait already. And Carlyle sure did like it eh? Heh.

I find it interesting that the uniform in Star Trek Online, and the uniform in the official comic book are the same..

That's because the comic series and Star Trek Online take place in the same Universe and timeline. Think of it as a continuation of everything post TNG/DS9/Voy/Nemesis. Since that's what it is :p

I was trying to get the gf to go with me for a 12:30 showing, but I have to go with her and her family on the weekend.

I would have gone on my own, but it would have been a long walk home on my own at 3 in the morning, lol.

Isn't the long walk home totally worth it :p

    • The Online part hasn't even been announced and probably won't be included on day one. This is a massive singleplayer game.
    • While I agree with all that, it just proves there's an a** built for every seat.
    • Lol are you mad because I'm not using AI? I'd rather pay people than lose a bunch of potential customers and get humilated because I used AI. A lot of people won't purchase a game if it used AI during development.
