that's the thread where my problem was... now, i haven't got any access to vista.

how do i reinstall the bootloader? or at least make the boot.ini file recognize it.

You can reinstall the bootloader booting to the Vista DVD and running the Fix option.

Good Luck!

I use EasyBCD once I have Vista installed, I even have my Ubuntu linux booting from Vista's boot loader. EasyBCD is really nice for multi booting OS's with Vista. Use the Vista DVD to Fix it first...it's pretty smart. Should detect the XP OS and create and entry for it as well.

So i finally got around to doing it, and when i loaded the disc up, i couldn't figure out where to select the "fix" tool. I did the vista repair of the startup, and still, did not get the vista bootloader, thus i still can't access my vista partition. any help would be awesome :)

thanks.
