Bond 22 : Quantum of Solace

I'm shocked and amazed that Jedi hasn't come in here raving about the song :p

You know he will come in when he finds it and will be like "OMGZ ALICIA KEYS IS AWESOME!" but its not a bad song, just putting it out there.

Scirwode

I wonder what the movie version will be like.

They really need to get back in the studio and fiddle with it (IMO) - there is a decent-ish tune in there somewhere but it's buried deep, The first 45 seconds are suitably Bond like but the vocals sound like they were recorded in a bathroom!

PS - Not sure what the hell is going on at around 2:45 but it doesn't sound like she was enjoying it much!!!

Listened to it a couple of times and it's definately growing on me. As others have said, i was dubious about "You Know My Name" but when I saw it put into Casino Royale with the intro titles, I absolutely loved it, and I think this song will be the same.

To all those that are hating the new theme song, i had the same inital reaction but you have to listen to it a few times before it grows on you. Also you havent seen the imagery so you have no idea how that ties in. Im expecting a lot from this.

Why? Because i had the same reaction when Daniel Craig was assigned to play the role of Bond. How would a blonde haired, blue eyed man possibly capture the role of Bond that Ian Flemming imagined? Despite almost every critic providing their negative responses, the directors stuck to their guns and it proved more than successfull. Craig was the Bond that no other Bond could achieve. He was more modern than any other Bond, yet he still had the classical side to him (shaken not stirred ;) ) Some say hes up at Sean Connery's level.

Anyways the directors obviously know what their doing and the proved it with Casino Royale. This next installment should deliver more than everyone's expectations.

Stay tuned :)

^ maybe so but....

different direction with man shooting film and man directing single for film. I'd wager the two aren't related save for film association. I could be wrong, though this is the worst bond single eva and I've heard em all.

Goldfinger for life!

    • Dead by Daylight, Two Point Museum, and more join Xbox Free Play Days for the weekend by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe There is a brand-new Free Play Days offer available to Xbox players, giving them a chance to try out a new selection of games over the weekend. Microsoft's latest promotion brings some high-profile titles, including the sports title PGA TOUR 2K25 and the racing sim Assetto Corsa. Almost all the games being offered this time require an Xbox Game Pass subscription, with only one title being available for all players. Starting with the fully free-to-play section, Dead by Daylight is populating it solo. This asymmetric survival horror title should be the most familiar to most gamers, considering its age. The multiplayer four-versus-one asymmetric survival horror game has you assuming the roles of survivors or the killer to see who can come out on top. This Dead by Daylight offer will be available to play until Monday, June 22, giving you an extra day of play compared to the remainder of the Free Play Days titles. Meanwhile, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members can now try out the well-received tycoon game Two Point Museum, the circuit racing sim Assetto Corsa, as well as 2K's golf sim experience that gives players a career to develop alongside real-world pros and courses. Here are the announced games and the platforms they are available to play on: PGA TOUR 2K25 (Xbox Series X|S) Two Point Museum (Xbox Series X|S) Assetto Corsa (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One) Dead by Daylight (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One) To easily find the titles on Xbox consoles, first head to the Store, and then in the sidebar, find the Home section. In there, open the Subscriptions tab. All the games from the Free Play Days collection will show up in this section for quick access. Apart from Dead by Daylight's offer, this week's Free Play Days promotions will end on Sunday, June 21, at 11:59 pm PT.
