Borbus
if you just need to check your sites in IE, check out ies4linux. I like to think that by using a virtual machine (which loads from a saved state in about two seconds) I haven't technically got IE on my PC ;) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/616690-gnu-linux-february-2008-desktop-thread/page/2/#findComment-589207963 Share on other sites

KitCh
^^ It's an application called gDesklets and it's available in the repro's. Although, that particular desklets you have to download from here and then it's just a case of opening gDesklets>File>Install and just point to the file you just downloaded Hope that helps. 4CxbqFxVnstmA Veteran Posted February 18, 2008 Veteran Share Posted February 18, 2008 (edited) What's that little weather app? It looks awesome! It's one of those gdesklets (you can go to Synaptic, search for 'gdesklets', install it, and then go to this site: http://www.gdesklets.de/index.php?q=desklet/view/171 as this particular gdesklet is not one of the ones that is automatically installed (you can just download it and then, from within gdesklets, click File-->Install Package and install it. (It should then appear under 'Uncategorized' as 'GoodWeather Display', and you can double-click it and it will appear and you can set it up and all from there. Remember if you want gdesklets to start with each Gnome session, you've got to go to System-->Preferences-->Sessions and add it, putting gdesklets start in the box for the command line :D SORRY! I see Kitch already answered.... lol Edited February 18, 2008 by James7 Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/616690-gnu-linux-february-2008-desktop-thread/page/2/#findComment-589214943 Share on other sites

MrFuji
^ *admiring* Looks cool (especially the taskbar), but you should definitely try the Tango-Generator... You can also configure it to use the Ubuntu Studio icons as a base, but you also get tons of other (better) icons - like a tango version of the wifi symbol :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/616690-gnu-linux-february-2008-desktop-thread/page/2/#findComment-589217337 Share on other sites
