FEAR Combat problem - CD key

I've downloaded FEAR Combat again, but bizarrely, I can't enter my CD key in the boxes!

It's too big to go in the boxes. If it's 4 numbers or short letters, it fits no problem, but otherwise, 3 big letters is the limit.

This is 1.07, BTW. There isn't a full 1.08 version, and I can't find a 1.00 version to download, so I'm stumped, unless someone here can help?

Just contacted them. This is a weird issue. I did a search, and nothing came up, so weird bug here.

I just got a reply back from them. They said they don't deal with FEAR problems. You have to go on the forums, and they're just as useless.

It's not that the CD key isn't working. It's that the boxes are too small to enter it in. And yes, I did get another CD key, but that one didn't fit, either!

Does anyone know where I can download the 1.00 version, because that one worked perfectly!

Its a graphical issue, try to click the box and enter the keys anyways may not look like its going to work but try it anyways, happend to me once . (on a really old laptop with even older videocard)

Doesn't work. It makes the notice noise when I try to enter the 4th letter/number, except on the last box, as it's all numbers.

I've tried some other methods. I've lowered the resolution, changed my visiual style, even changed the font size.

I had the same problem 4 months ago, but when I downloaded a fresh copy recently, it worked fine. I know it would be agonizing for you to download the 2 gig file again, but do it and try it.

Already tried this. I downloaded 2 versions. One from Sierra's BitTorrent tracker, and one from Gamershell. Both had the same problem.

Did you ever get this problem resolved and, if so, how? The reason I ask is because I am having the exact same problem,.

Any help or suggestions from anyone is very much appreciated.

Sorry, I never resolved the problem. I'm on a different computer and I'm on Vista now, so I'll download it again to see if it works now.
