Very frustrating which is why I quit playing. If I remember correctly it was ported from PS2 and no mouse contol options. I feel your pain. Might have been fun if they would have patched a mouse option for keyboard config.

I Found this quote on line when searching for updated issues on RE4 and PC.

" pc version made it worst game ever, i mean MY f***ING GOD, u cant even move AND shoot, and worse of all NO MOUSE CONTROL, do u really expect pc users to forget their mouse and move back to the 80s and grab a pad ....... insult to all resident evil fans...........................hope its much better on console"

I would highly recommend an Xbox 360 controller for Resident Evil 4. Yes, you'll have to shell out more cash, but it makes the game a very enjoyable experience.

Oh, when you get the "1 + 3" button(s) prompt, push A + X. Buttons "5 + 6" are the left and right shoulder buttons.

You'll see what I mean when you begin to play the game.

You can change it, but only before you enter the game. Also, since most of the buttons are numbered 1 to 10, which is pretty meaningless when your up against a button prompt, here's the PS2 Button Pack which should be alright with your sixaxis.

give xpadder a try, i had to use this for GTA: SA today and it works wonders!!

Xpadder is good, it just doesn't work well with my Xbox 360 wireless controller :( .

I've got one, and I'm enjoying playing it on my notebook :D ! As for the button images, why not use these, which are really, really nice (Y) !

I wouldn't say that. Albert is in the process of exchanging every texture in the PC port to the GameCube version, which has much better textures, and from what I've seen it looks nice!

Then again, I'm quite happy with Texture Patch 2 :D !
