Cannot help it does the same with me and nothing I do can fix it, however, I have found THIS PROGRAM. It is freeware and works a charm. All you need to do is have it installed on both machines and it works better and quicker than the default windows one.

My mom messes up her PC a lot and I use it often to log on and sort her out. I can highly recomend it bud.

But, if you dont want to use that, you can start remote assistance via email or by just using their IP address. Just go to windows help and search for remote assistance.

Thank you that program worked perfectly! Possibly the most simple program I've ever seen for remote assistance.

- I've installed the latest version directly from MSN

- I even uninstalled and re-installed it to see if it was overwriting the files.

How could this happen otherwise?

you downloaded MSN messenger

you both need up to date windows messenger
