We'll get an improved version of the Xbox 360 game.

- Optimized controls designed specifically for the PC.

- High resolution visuals – Mass Effect for the PC features highly detailed textures, characters and environments.

- Fully customizable controls – PC gamers can re-map the control scheme any way they like.

- Run & Gun Control – Players can assign biotic powers or skills to ‘hot keys’ allowing them to play Mass Effect with a heavier focus on action.

- New decryption mini-game.

- New inventory screen GUI and functionality – The enhanced inventory system makes it easier for players to equip and modify their weapons and armor.

+ most probably the downloadable content for the Xbox 360 version.

The game uses the Unreal 3 Engine and looks about the same as Unreal Tournament 3, so the performance probably won't be much different than in UT3.

yeah should be about the same... i haven't played it yet for 360, might just pick it up for PC

I only ever saw framerate problems on the ship docking scenes. Otherwise the game was smooth as silk.

I played it and sold it to Gamestop. Not really my kinda game. But, at least I did finish it....so it's definately a good game.

I can't recall any slowdown what so ever. Still haven't finished the game, yet though. About 20 hours in and taking my sweet time.

There is no point in getting an Xbox 360 if you have an up to date PC. If there is a game you really want to play, just wait, it will come out on the PC and it will be better. I actually considered picking up a 360 for this game, but I thought better of it, because I assumed it would come to the PC.

There are tons of reasons to get a xbox 360. I am a huge pc gamer, but there is so much the xbox delivers.

Very true, but I have given up on that years ago because the cost of keeping my PC up to date just got too much. PCs may get the superior visuals (and at times superior gameplay) but it comes at a cost, consoles are easier on the pocket and arn't really that bad, which is why I focus mainly on console gaming these days (I still game on PC, just not as much anymore)

yeah... like halo 3, all the EA sports titles (two years and waiting....) and so on.... i have both, a 360 and a good computer (and a wii) and i lik ehaving thebest of all worlds... And you can say that with 360, the biggest game PC had was arguably HL2, now it's for consoles too

I'm glad it's going to be on the PC. Playing at 30FPS or less on the console, crazy texture popping because of lack of RAM, long load times, and no antialiasing makes for a frustrating experience when you've been spoiled by a high-end PC.

It's a great game--technical difficulties aside--and it will be nice to add it to other good PC RPGs.

Consoles are great for just picking up a controller and popping in your flavor-of-the-month casual game, but technical and control limitations prevent developers from using their imagination for high-end machines, and they almost chop out an entire genre (RTS). Designers have to gigantize interfaces to cater to people who still don't have HDTVs and they have to juggle resources to get around the limited RAM provided them.

I'll definitely buy this game for the PC. Hopefully it'll play just as well as Unreal Tournament 3. I agree with Unwonted, the game is good on the 360 but it still lacks a certain "sharpness" to it.

Yeah i don't think anyone was arguing that the 360 version was rubbish because of the framerate drops and graphical bugs, they were just annoying. The texture pop up though however i think is UE3's streaming textures feature thankfully on the PC version we'll be able to change that for an extra couple of seconds loading :)

Yes, the texture pop up was down to UE3, which is a trade off for lower loading times. IMO it didn't really make a difference to me, the story and gameplay was so good I completely overlooked those little niggles.

You should be able to modify that on the PC, though (Y) and perhaps for ME2 they will utilize the hard drive like Halo does, so this should help even more.

The game that I've been eagerly waiting for has finally arrive on the PC :D . There is, however, only one problem with this - my notebook might not be able to support it  ! Any idea of the system specifications of the game. I'm only hoping I be able to play it at medium settings, even low is fine for me.
