Alice('s Adventures) in Wonderland (2010)

They're going to ruin it.

The only person I'd love to see write a script and direct a movie adaptation to Alice in Wonderland is American McGee. His vision for that story was absolutely brilliant, although a bit psychotic. But that's why we love him.

^ Agree'd, the game itself wasn't that good. However the story and atmosphere were very well done

I'd love to see American McGee's Alice done as a film.....

I believe he was supposed to be doing a Wizard of Oz game too :ermm:

Crispin Joins Alice!

If I were to create a list of five people that should be in Tim Burton?s 3D adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, Crispin Glover would probably top the list. So it comes as no surprise that Burton has cast Glover to play the Knave of Hearts.

In the original Lewis Carroll book Alice?s Adventures in Wonderland, the Knave of Hearts is put on trial for robbery after he supposedly stole the Queen of Harts? tarts ?and took them quite away?. Alice eventually defends him after the evidence becomes more and more absurd.

This will be the second time that Glover uses Performance-capture technology in a big screen role, as he played Grendel in Robert Zemeckis? 2007 film Beowulf. Clover joins Mia Wasikowska (Alice), Johnny Depp (Mad Hatter), Matt Lucas (Tweedledee/Tweedledum), Anne Hathaway (The White Queen) and Helena Bonham Carter (The Red Queen).

Back in September, we posted the first set photos of Mia Wasikowska as Alice in Tim Burton?s Alice in Wonderland. I noticed that the camera filming Wasikowska didn?t appear to be a 3D rig. At the time I wrote it off as possibly being one of the non-3D scenes from the start of the film, before Alice enters Wonderland.

MarketSaw is now reporting that Tim Burton is not shooting any scenes from the film using 3D cameras. I?m not sure how much of the production will be shot using performance capture, but if they are filming on practical sets, I don?t understand why Burton would shoot in 2D. Some would argue that converting to 3D in post production gives you a lot more control over the depth and look of the 3D. But it is generally an expensive and exhausting process to convert live-action 2D to 3D, which leads me to believe that much of Alice is probably being shot on a green screen stages.

This is the third film confirmed out of the five-film agreement between IMAX and Disney, which was announced on November 19, 2008.

Commenting on the announcement, Mark Zoradi, president, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Group, said, ?If ever there was a film that cried out to be presented in Disney Digital 3D and the premium IMAX 3D format, Tim Burton?s fantastic interpretation of ?Alice in Wonderland? is that film. This is going to be an eye-popping cinematic experience as Tim takes moviegoers down the rabbit hole and into the dimensional world filled with incredible characters, sly humor, and wild adventures. Disney?s partnership with IMAX is taking shape with two amazing films already on the schedule. • Apart from Early Hiccups on Windows 11 on first install on October 6th 2021 on my old Intel 10700 daily use Desktop PC at the time, used to have issue with Bluetooth suddenly no longer working and only fix back then was always another clean install--then would work for a while. Transition to 2024 when i decided to finally upgrade that system for better support for Battlefield 2042 and Battlefield 6 later on, opted for next daily use Gaming Desktop AMD Ryzen 7 7700X and Radeon 7800XT OC 16GB. No major problems at all with this desktop, OS was clean installed way back on 10/8/2025 not long after 25H2 released. Overall i've been happy with Windows 11 Pro from the start, even minor little quirks didn't sway me. Heck i even use Windows 8 and upgraded immediately upon release back then on my old HP P6-2133W Desktop, and while the specs of that machine didn't give me top notch performance--i still was able to do what i wanted to, without too many slowdowns. Windows ME i didn't use on any of my personal systems back in the day, kept those systems on 98SE til XP released, and grabbed that immediately on release date. Kept XP til Vista Released then upgraded immediately, kept Vista til Windows 7 released, then updated immediately again
    • Broadcom: dreadful company who is destroying VMware by pricing it out of the market.
    • To be fair, it wasn't going anywhere. Even when Windows Phone could run Android APKs, Google didn't want any of it so it'd never work and the same thing happened with Windows. It was never about the store or it's users, it was always the developers and who they aligned to.
    • Wake me up when this comes to PC. Until then... zzzzzzzz....
