Randolph
I sure did. I am debating on sticking with it. - Not sluggish. - Quick as hell. Has anyone else decided to go back to IE 6.0 SP2? This also made me think about going back to WMP 10 from WMP 11. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/623966-who-went-back-to-60-sp2/ Share on other sites
PyX
Quick as hell? Did you ever try Firefox, Opera, or (maybe even) Safari? I'm not a windows user, but I would never reinstall IE6 if IE7 was installed, and I would never use IE at all. kyosuken
I use FF2 (have FF3 Beta installed but i don't use it that often for now waiting for FF3 gold), but i still have IE6 i add IE7 but at some points Javascript events were all messed for some reason, so i downgraded back, the other reason being that as a webdev i need IE6 to test things out as i have vista on another box i can do my testings in ie7 as well (or ie8 when it will be out of beta) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/623966-who-went-back-to-60-sp2/#findComment-589253653 Share on other sites

Lee G. Veteran Posted June 3, 2008 Veteran Share Posted June 3, 2008 wmp10 > wmp11 imo I have to agree here. I prefer IE7 to IE6 - largely because it has some features that I couldn't live without - like tabs. I use Firefox though! +InsaneNutter MVC Posted June 3, 2008 MVC Share Posted June 3, 2008 We have IE 6 at Uni, it annoys me how there?s no tabs, a lot of Ajax stuff don?t work properly and it can?t show the transparency in transparent PNG?s. I?ve been using IE7 since the early beta?s and could never go back... I couldn?t anywa;)I use Vista ;) On XP WMP 10 is a lot nice:)than WMP 11 :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/623966-who-went-back-to-60-sp2/#findComment-589452303 Share on other sites
Chrysalis
IE6 without a doubt is way faster and lighter than IE7, but is IE6 still patched? Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/623966-who-went-back-to-60-sp2/#findComment-589537938 Share on other sites
