Seriously, posting links to youtube is one thing.

Posting your own screenshots of a game that is not release until 5 days from now, a whole other thing.

I mean seriously, should I really have to delete 67 comments??

My apologies to anyone whose comment I deleted and was on topic, I did my best, but literally there was about 6 pages of just pure nonsense.

I think it goes without saying keep your own screenshots out, keep the talk about pirated games out, etc.

In fact, I really do not see how there should be one comment about gameplay until the 29th. If you are so upset at that fact, go to a forum that allows discussion about pirated software. We have not, and never will, tolerate that.

With that said, it is a grey line about linking to videos on youtube, scans on other sites, etc. It is not always clear what is right and wrong in those regards. If it is a reputable, well known site, Use your discretion, and if someone feels it is inappropriate, report it, and many thanks to the members who did report this thread already. Thank you.

Nice one DirtyLarry. (Y)

Thankfully around here it should be pretty easy to get a copy at a store, a friend of mine is unable to reserve his through Gameplay, so is just going to go into a store and get the PS3 version.

I imagine in denser areas it's going to be more difficult.

Ya...I'm in NYC and I didn't reserve the game. I think I am just going to try at different locations and hopefully get the game.

Also, a few Best Buys are opening at 12 AM on Tuesday. http://kotaku.com/383236/best-buy-announce...aunch-locations

If you didn't preorder the game maybe you can get there early enough to get the game.

OMG hav u guys seen the wat happens when ur drunk?

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/207155.html

Only video I watched thus far, but was the person taking the movie drunk? framing was all over the place :(

I don't know how iCon got hold of GTA IV this early, although it is a recurring trend with GTA games to be leaked early. A curse of their popularity.

I think the dodgy camera work might be whats actually going on in the game. It takes a skilled camera man to wobble so precisely :D

My mistake, I didn't notice the edge of the screen waving around.

In summary, the guy is skilled idiot

I played it today. My local gametraders had it loaded up when i went in to buy a guitar hero controller. They were all standing around playing it. They let me have a go for 20 min.

I would pay $200 for this game, it is awesome.Very impressed with the new ragdoll stuff with the peds - and i also love how nicko flies out he windscreen when ur car comes to a quick stop

Is there an option to put a seatbelt or something?? I thought I remebered reading something about that..

But yea, the Euphoria animation engine is amazing in what little I have seen, I do hope other games start to use it.

My Play.com pre-order's status is now Processing, so with any luck they'll send it tonight...

That really isn't going to happen. The amount of people ordering from Play.com means that if you ordered any time within the last month and a half or so, your gonna be waiting a hell of a long time.

Incidentally, Game have a release-day delivery guarantee going, but of course thats only for us Brits. I canceled my order with Play.com to put one in with Game so that I'd get it on the day

I ordered on 9th Feb :) Some people are reporting that Play has already despatched their orders so anything's possible, really.

Processing here :D

Whats the first thing you will do when get GTA? Ingame of course

I think me and a couple of friends will be going into Free-roam online together if we can just to explore the place :D

It's likely we'll all get into the single player missions though :p

Why? Why is it a whole other thing

In the YouTube case, you are posting a video that shows screenshots/video gameplay from another person

In posting screenshots/video gameplay here, you are posting a video a shows screenshots/video game made by you

There is no difference.

There is quite a difference. We do not and will never promote piracy here. By posting a link to a YouTube video from a random person, nobody here is showing that they've pirated the game or purchased it earlier than they should have. But by posting your own shots, you're pretty much saying, "Yeah, it was me, I did it," and showing that you have pirated the game or otherwise obtained it earlier than you're supposed to.

Talk of piracy is not allowed here, so it should follow that promoting piracy by showing screenshots of a game you have pirated is also not allowed.

    • I can answer about the Linux bit. I only used AMD GPUs. I currently have a 9060XT (8GB) that fits my needs, I'm not a gamer, so I don't need that much GDDR. But lately, NVIDIA has grown a lot in the recent years. Oh, the horrors of NVIDIA drivers not working. But they have been getting better. I know a lot of members onm here that are running cachyOS and other distros, and are fine with a 4090/5090 variants. Really, though, I would stick with AMD variants.
