Does IE 8 support pipelining and people at MS don't even know?

I brought up a suggestion on the MS newsgroups about adding Pipelining support to IE 8, and an MS employee said they're trying to add it, but not sure if it will make it by the final.

My only question is that after using IE 8 for a week or so, it almost seems like it does Pipeline. For example, in IE 7, I'd go to a photo intesive web site such as http://www.deviantart.com and you could see IE draw up the images one at a time. In IE 8, if I go to http://www.deviantart.com, all the images appear instantly, just like Firefox does with Pipelining turned on.

Could it be IE 8 already supports Pipelining? It already supports more than 2 downloads at a time (the limit in IE 7) and that's a similiar network "max connects" ability. I was downloading 5 files the other day at a time.

Does anyone know anything about Pipelining in IE 8 and/or where I could find more info?

I believe IE7pro does this - there is a "Max Connections" box where you can set how many concurrent connections to the server IE will use in downloading page content. As for IE 8, I wouldn't know.

try it and see.

disable http 1.1 and clear cache, then load image intensive page, images slowish to load. Enable http 1.1 and clear cache again, this time images load much faster as can do it without having to open new connections, this I believe is pipelining.
