Philly.com has posted a bit more on the upcoming Transformers 2 filming:

Neat twist surrounding the action movie Transformers 2, whose production will be based in Philly for the better part of June. I hear that director Michael Bay and crew also will shoot in Bethlehem, Pa., which will double as a city in the Far East. (A twist in the notion of sending American jobs overseas.)

DreamWorks/Paramount are planning a June 26, 2009 release.

I can hardly wait for more confusing special effects surrounding a pathetic weak storyline combined with nonsensical robot-on-robot action and the warped creation/destruction of childhood favourites from the original series.

+1

I don't know if I can stomach GoBots 2.

That pic of Devestator is great though.

"Transformers 2" director Michael Bay claims that, short of news that filming is taking place in Philadelphia, everything else that has hit the Net about the upcoming "Transformers" sequel is BS.

He says on his official site that "Sorry everyone, everything you are reading (other then we are shooting in Philly) is false. We are going to give so much disinformation on this film to confuse everyone."

So unless it is an official announcement, don't believe it!

I just love self-contradicting statements. So if everything I'm reading is false, That would mean the statement he just made is false...which would make it true... but it can't be true because he said it's false.......

yeah, and would you believe Transformers 4? :woot:

^ I agree, they have made it more modern and the end result is fantastic. Sure, with any remake of a classic child series, it's going to upset some people, but I'm a die-hard fan and I loved it!

dude...by the way, yuz got a thing for little asian girls? Just curious......

Michael Bay is tricking the world!

Michael Bay has revealed that he is deliberately trying to mislead Transformers fans by putting out false information on the web about the film's sequel.

The second instalment in the robot franchise will film later this year in Philadelphia and Bay pointed out that any advance spoilers and pictures from the movie could turn out to be false.

Writing on his website Shoot For The Edit, Bay said: "Sorry everyone, everything you are reading (other than we are shooting in Philly) is false. We are going to give so much disinformation on this film to confuse everyone."

Bay recently attacked Uwe Boll after the German director slammed his films in a YouTube rant.

A tipster over at Superhero hype sent this in:

You may already know this but Transformers 2 will be filming at the Air Force boneyard in Arizona.

They are apparently preparing for the filming at the Tuscon facility, but it's not known when filming will take place.

While her Justice role as baddie Talia al Ghul is seemingly in a permanent holding pattern, the talented Aussie actress Teresa Palmer, pictured, has apparently landed a role in the Transformers sequel, Transformers 2.

Jonah Hill is in early negotiations to costar opposite Shia LaBeouf in Transformers 2 for DreamWorks and Paramount.

Hill (Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall) will provide the comic relief as a sidekick to Shia's Sam Witwicky. (A source tells EW.com that he'll play Sam's college roommate, but DreamWorks won't confirm.)

The sequel is set to begin shooting this summer.

Jonah Hill Not Joining Transformers 2

Jonah Hill will not join Shia LaBeouf in the upcoming Transformers sequel.

Entertainment Weekly had reported that the Superbad star was in talks to play the college roommate of LaBeouf's character Sam Witwicky.

However, the magazine now claims that negotiations between Hill and DreamWorks have broken down.

Transformers grossed more than $700 million worldwide following its release last summer. The second instalment will film later this year in Philadelphia.

Hill, who can currently be seen in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, is in line for a cameo role opposite Ben Stiller in Night at the Museum 2.

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
