UPDATE: Hasbro has confirmed the subtitle on its official site.

Transformers 2 producer Don Murphy on his official message board has posted a link to this site where they are claiming that DreamWorks/Paramount released the full title for the sequel yesterday, although we didn't hear anything from the studio on Wednesday. They say it's titled "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen."

Scooper 'drx' is back with another update on the Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen filming at the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum in Virginia:

I'm back one last time with a report about what I saw filmed at the museum on Saturday. Some potentially spoilerish stuff will follow, so be aware.

I arrived around 10 and stayed until they broke for lunch (around 2, 2:30). Got to see a lot of stuff filmed, it was really quite interesting stuff. Shia, Megan Fox, and John Turturro were all on set.

All filming pretty much took place around the SR-71 Blackbird today. When I first got there, Michael Bay was being pushed on a cart with a camera filming an RC car, an RC monster truck to be exact. It would roll past the side of the Blackbird and stop at the front. After several times doing this, Shia and Megan would then run and follow the RC truck along the plan to the front (Shia was holding what I can only describe as a plastic spoon probably standing in for something digital later). When he got to the front he would hold it up to the nose of the plane.

Potentially big SPOILERS may be here in this next part, but the next bit filmed was John Turturro and that unknown actor in the green hoodie from yesterday filming a scene facing the front of the plane. After some flashes of light, Turturro freaks out and yells "Decepticon! Get behind the MIG!". So it's official, the Blackbird is a Decepticon, or at least that's what the characters think.

After that they took a long time setting up and filming the RC car rolling straight towards the nose of the plane and stopping. They then placed a two foot tall cutout of a robot (what the RC car will transform into) in its place and took some shots to get references for the FX team. And finally, they had the car roll towards the plane and stop, then Shia crawled into view and held up his "spoon" to the nose of the plane.

The last couple of scenes I saw before the broke for lunch was a scene with Megan Fox. It was far away from where we were allowed to stand and I couldn't hear any dialogue but the tiny robot cut out was standing off camera and she was looking down at it while talking. And lastly, Shia stepped in the scene next to her and was yelling at someone off camera (though again I couldn't hear any dialogue).

So there you have it. I'm pretty sure they are done filming here. I'll ask my friend about what he saw them film in the afternoon and will pass it on if it seems interesting enough.

First pics from the set of 'Transformers 2' posted online

On Sunday night Transformers was lauded as the Best Movie at the 2008 MTV Movie Awards. During his acceptance speech, director Michael Bay (standing with the beautiful Megan Fox) announced that production on Transformers 2 would begin -- wait for it -- the next day.

That 'next day' has come and gone and spy photos from the set have already been posted to the interwebs. Below is a glimpse of the action from the set at an abandoned factory in Bethleham, Pa. All the photos are up at TFW2005.

In addition, the full title of the sequel has been officially announced. It will be called Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. Shia LaBeouf, Fox, Josh Duhamel, and Tyrese Gibson will all be back. Rainn Wilson and Matthew Marsden join the line-up for this one.

It'll hit theaters on June 26, 2009.

oh man cant wait! :)

I thought one of the constraints of corporate sponsorship through advertising is that they are limited to using vehicles provided by General Motors? How'd they get a Saab, and how'd they (apparently) get an Audi?

The SR-71 is being called Jetfire (for now), which as many of you G1 fans know, was in fact an Autobot, not a Decepticon (and yes, I know he had an early alliance with Starscream, but that went the way of the dodo). This should make things a bit more interesting. I wonder which character makes a comeback.

I'm glad they are setting aside more screen time for the Transformers, don't get me wrong, I love and appreciate every single second I am gifted with seeing Megan Fox on screen, but we need more robo action!

I want Omega Supreme!!!

Revenge of the Fallen? interesting name.

Rofl, sounds like there going the way of Star wars, You have the first to set the story, the bad guys kick some ass in the second and then the good guys kick even more ass and there are fury little monsters in the third.

Can't wait though. :D

Saab is a European division of GM ...or somehow related...it's right on their main webpage...

Omega Supreme would be amazing.

Jonah Hill decided not to star in Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen because he did not like the script.

According to IESB, Hill was offered the role of Sam Witwicky's (Shia LaBeouf) college roommate but declined after taking a look at the script in director Michael Bay's office.

An insider said: "Jonah sits down, opens the script. The character of the chubby sidekick is named 'Jonah'. How perfect. Jonah reads 20 pages of the script, puts it down, and silently walks out of the room. Next thing you know, his agents call Bay, he's off the project."

After snubbing the Transformers role, Hill signed up to write and executive produce a film version of '80s TV show 21 Jump Street.

When Michael Bay got behind the camera for his most recent film, he chronicled a lot more than just automobiles transforming into robots from outer space. Millions of fans also watched then 21-year-old Megan Fox transform from an obscure actress best remembered for a Lindsay Lohan movie into one of the most desired hotties on the planet.

Now, the ?Transformers? star is back on the set with Michael Bay ? and true to the director?s favorite word, she says he?s making an awesome sequel.

?As big as the first movie was, this is 10 times as big, 10 times as many set pieces, explosions, and acrobatic stunts,? she told us about ?Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. ?Shia and I make out a little bit; I don?t know if anyone wants to see that.?

Something tells us that Shia LeBeouf wants to see it.

Regardless, Megan insisted that the blossoming romance between Sam and Mikaela is only one of the many plotlines Bay will be juggling for the June 2009 flick. But according to the actress, some last-minute scrambling has been taking place to make sure their romance can hold its own among all those Autobot vs. Decepticon showdowns.

?You know, we?ve been having script meetings, and we?ve been reworking the script, because they wrote it fast because of the writer?s strike,? she explained. ?And, we?ve just been going through and trying to do some character stuff for Shia and myself in the middle of this crazy world that they?re in.?

?I can tell you that we?re on locations in some really exotic places,? she added. ?It?s just going to be a badass movie. It?s just going to be a popcorn-visual-spectacle, summer film.?

As for Michael Bay?s main directorial input to his lead actress, Megan had this to say: ?His main note to me is just to look hot; so I try my best.?

    • Microsoft now allows you to tweak Visual Studio to new extremes by Usama Jawad Visual Studio 2026 recently netted a powerful feature that finally allows developers to review Git Pull Requests (PRs) directly in the integrated development environment (IDE), without needing to switch to the browser. However, that's not all that Microsoft introduced in the latest version, as it also offered a useful way to customize the IDE to their heart's content. Although Visual Studio 2026 already provides lots of stock themes based on Fluent Design principles, Microsoft understands that people still want to customize them further according to their preferences. The IDE now offers a new configuration page for themes under Tools > Options > Environment > Visual Experience > Theme colors. This allows you to set hex color codes for accent colors, hover states, and more, and apply them without requiring a restart. The Redmond tech giant further says that: Microsoft is also offering granular color tokens that allow you to customize various UX elements like the tab header without impacting the rest of the shell chrome. Your themes are also stored in JSON format in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\VisualStudio\18.0_xxxxxxxx\ColorThemes, which basically enables you to share it with others or override existing themes. This is a major improvement in terms of the user experience powering these customization capabilities. This is because extensions were required to replace the theme, and it was not very easy to make minor adjustments. This theme configuration UX solves this problem and is available in Visual Studio 2026 version 18.7, available here.
