I was in Sainsburys today, just picking up some food, and they had a 1080p TV playing Transformers on a PS3.

It was the first time I had seen the any of the film in Hi-def, but my god, it was beautiful!

Yeah its immense!

Since Michael Bay has been keeping everything involving Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen a secret, it's been hard for fans knowing exactly what is up with some of their favorite Decepticons and Autobots.

One of the big questions is, is Megatron returning and if so, what will he look like? If these images are any indication, he appears to be a giant ass armored tank.

He kind of looks like Galvatron a bit from these pictures. I think these are toy packaging images when you look at them. I came to this conclusion because one pic says Megatron in the lower right and also they have that giant Toy logo on them. I'm an awesome detective. If this truly is what Megatron will look like, (you can see his face in a couple of shots) then he's going to be one bad mother f-er in this sequel.

The Hasbro Licensing Summit 2008 at Malaysia Kuala Lumpur has revealed the identity of the Chevy Corvette as Sideswipe! The second revelation is confirmation of Ravage in Revenge of the Fallen. Ravage is described as having a very raw beast mode.

Further confirmation of our earlier report of Devastator in the Transformers sequel, as the toys will merge to become a Supreme sized figure.

Images of the Leader-class Optimus Prime and Megatron figures were shown, reconfirming that Megatron does indeed now have a tank as his vehicle mode and that the Optimus Prime figure will be a new mold with a new transformation.

A new mold for Optimus? Are we not going to recognize each Transformer for every each movie they make? That's a bit silly :(

No, there was a pic of the Optimus truck on the set, so maybe he will start off as a truck and then change to something else.

Variety reports that director Michael Bay will film at least three action set pieces using IMAX cameras for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The trade adds that director Jon Favreau has discussed using IMAX cameras in filming Iron Man 2, while director D.J. Caruso has expressed interest in doing so for future projects such as Y: The Last Man.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen opens June 26, 2009, Iron Man 2 on May 7, 2010 and Y: The Last Man has no release date yet.

Skids Revealed?

xfw46a.jpg

Jalopnik has a few new photos from the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The big news is that the photos reveal the license plates of the Chevrolet Beat, giving us the possible identity of this new alt mode Autobot?

The name Skids has been used for four characters in the Transformers universe, so I?m not sure what, if any, characteristics, will be used on the movie autobot.

Amaury Nolasco Says His ?Transformers? Character Is Alive, Could Return In ?Transformers 3′

You might remember ?Prison Break? star Amaury Nolasco from ?Transformers? as one of the military men who run into a bloody desert skirmish with the Skorponok, alongside Josh Duhamel and Tyrese. But did he die? And, could he come back for future ?Transformers? films?

According to the star of next week?s ?Max Payne,? the answer is no. And yes.

?I didn?t die,? the burly, Puerto Rican actor revealed to us this week when we asked about his character, ACWO Jorge ?Fig? Figueroa.

And get this: His character is not only still alive, but Nolasco told us that the high-profile director of the ?Transformers? series wanted to bring him back for an awesome re-emergence in the recently-wrapped sequel. ?No [i?m not in ?Revenge of the Fallen?], I wish I could say yes,? he explained. ?I was shooting ?Prison Break? at the time so it was conflictive, the dates. Even though, I was asked to. Michael Bay called me and said, ?You know what? You?re in Transformers 2?!? and I go, ?I want to do it,? but I wasn?t able.?

Still, Nolasco knows that Bay and producer Steven Spielberg have plans to make more ?Transformers? sequels, and they?ve left the door open for ?Fig? to rejoin the party.

?Yeah it would [be fun],? Nolasco insisted. ?So who knows? Maybe ?Transformers III?.?

Transformers Attraction Confirmed!

Universal Studios has confirmed a rumor from IESB that Universal Parks & Resorts has paired up with Hasbro and DreamWorks Pictures to produce a "Transformers" attraction at its parks in Hollywood and Singapore set to open in early 2011.

transformersride.jpg

"Transformers," the electrifying blockbuster celebrated for its multi-generational appeal, inventive storyline, spectacular action sequences and special effects, will now be developed as a new theme park mega-attraction in a partnership between Universal Parks & Resorts, Hasbro, Inc. and DreamWorks Pictures.

The attraction will fuse 3D-HD media, mega special effects and stunning robotics with a ride system that will transform perceptions of theme park experiences. The rides are scheduled to make their debuts in early 2011, first at Universal Studios Singapore and then at Universal Studios Hollywood. In "Transformers," Earth's humans are caught in the middle of an intergalactic war between the friendly Autobots and the evil Decepticons, which are able to change into a variety of objects, including cars, trucks, planes and other technological creations.

Tom Williams, Chairman and CEO, Universal Parks & Resorts, said: "'Transformers' will be a jewel in our collection of world-class rides based on great movies. We're thrilled to be collaborating with Hasbro, DreamWorks, director Michael Bay and the film's executive producer, Steven Spielberg, who has been responsible for so many of our signature rides and attractions." Steven Spielberg serves as creative consultant to Universal Parks & Resorts and has worked closely with the company in the creation of some of the world's most innovative theme park attractions. Those attractions include Jurassic Park-the Ride, a featured attraction at UP&R parks in Orlando, Hollywood and Japan, the E.T. Adventure at Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Japan, and the "War of the Worlds" sets at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Larry Kurzweil, President and Chief Operating Officer, Universal Studios Hollywood, said "'Transformers' represents a perfect match for our theme park: an exhilarating blockbuster with a great story, clever humor, non-stop action and flawless special effects. It has all the elements necessary to become one of the world's most exciting theme park rides and a centerpiece attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood, The Entertainment Capital of L.A."

"We are thrilled to be working with Universal Parks & Resorts and DreamWorks to create this 'Transformers' attraction because we believe it will deliver an ultimate one of a kind immersive 'Transformers' experience for our fans around the world!" said Brian Goldner, President and CEO of Hasbro, Inc.

Tan Hee Teck, Chief Executive Officer of Resorts World at Sentosa, the mega resort that is home to Universal Studios Singapore, said: "It is great that Asia will be the launch pad for the first Transformers attraction. Transformers was introduced in the United States in 1983 but traces its roots to Asia. Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Megatron are familiar names to Asian audiences, who grew up with the robot toys and love the movie. When Transformers opens in Universal Studios Singapore in 2010, it will be the first of its kind in the world. We may see a surge of Transformers mania.

Director Michael Bay and Executive Producer Steve Spielberg presented "Transformers" in 2007. "Transformers" broke box office records on its way to gathering worldwide gross revenues of over $706 million -- the highest non-sequel gross of any movie in 2007 -- and three Academy Award nominations. The sequel, "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," is scheduled to be released by Paramount Pictures in the U.S. on June 26, 2009.

"Transformers" is a Paramount release of a DreamWorks Pictures, Paramount Pictures presentation, in association with Hasbro, of a di Bonaventura Pictures production. Produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Tom DeSanto, Don Murphy, Ian Bryce. Executive producers, Steven Spielberg, Michael Bay, Brian Goldner, Mark Vahradian. Co-producers, Allegra Clegg, Ken Bates. Directed by Michael Bay. Screenplay, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci. Story, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, John Rogers. Starring Shia LaBeouf, Tyrese Gibson, Josh Dumael, Anthony Anderson, Megan Fox, Rachael Taylor, John Turturro and John Voight.

Bay Doesn't Support the Ride!

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen director Michael Bay has posted his thoughts about the just announced "Transformers" ride coming to Universal's parks on his official website:

The shooting in the the Middle East is ground breaking - an awesome time had by all the crew.

The Transformer Ride at Universal making all the press rounds - not sure yet - they had me in a press release saying I supported it - but Universal has a long way to go in my mind. I don't support it - I'm not involved and not sure the story of the ride works, and I know Optimus is not going to just show up to be directed by some new people that have never worked with him. I hate when people bullsh*t a quote from me that I never said.

I'll keep you informed. Maybe the guy making the rides at Universal will direct Transformers 3????

Bay

It's a Wrap!

Transformers 2 Features The Weirdest Robot In Disguise Yet!

isabel-lucas12070601.jpg

Rumor has it Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen features yet another new kind of Transformer ? one which could make Sam Witwicky's love life very complicated. Is there nothing those robots can't disguise themselves as? Click through for spoilers.

Sources tell the Transformers Live Action Movie Blog that Alice (Isabel Lucas), the sexy girl who befriends Sam in college, is a Pretender, or a Transformer who hides inside a human-shaped shell. She could also be a hiding place for Ravage before he attacks Sam on campus.

Says one source:[In the case of Alice, the shell will be an attractive human woman while the inner robot is best described as a hybrid of the Frenzy robot design from the first movie. The Pretender Transformer will have an arm that transforms into an energy weapon, a long tongue, and a scanning tentacle.i>[/b]b>

Wow, it sounds sort of Freudian, and awesome. I guess that'll teach Sam to stray when Mikaela's out of town. The Alice = Transformer rumor is given more weight by a blurry set video that shows her walking calmly across campus while students are freaking out all around her.

The Pretenders, first introduced in 1988, were Transformers who could climb inside a "synthetic organic outer shell" that looked human. The toys were basically big ugly humans which swung open to reveal cruddy robots. Here's how the British comic introduced them to the world:

    • Forza Horizon 6 gets big bug-fixing and balancing update by Taras Buria Today, Playground Games released a big Forza Horizon 6 update with a long list of fixes, patches, and balancing tweaks that the studio promised earlier. Version 375.327 is now available on Steam, Microsoft Store, and Xbox, offering users improvements for AI, audio, design, performance, road discovery, upgrades, visuals, online play, and more. Some of the most notable changes in the Series 2 update include rebalanced drivatars, particularly their difficulty and race start behavior. As such, the game should be more balanced on higher difficulty levels, and AI cars should not shoot out when the race starts as if they have rocket boosters. Speaking of difficulty, developers nerfed Drag Tires physics for a more expected and realistic behavior. They are no longer the go-to option for record-breaking times in road racing, and all leaderboard entries with drag tires will be removed. Completionists will also be glad to get a new feature that lets you see road discovery percentage in each region, which should make discovering all roads easier while keeping it quite challenging and interesting (I spent quite a long time finding the last road). Festival Playlist is also getting some much-needed fixes, including patches for bugs that allowed completing Seasonal Jobs ahead of time or where weekly challenges would not unlock for some players. Developers will retroactively give reward points to all who could not complete all challenges due to these bugs. Other changes include changes to Horizon Play progression so that it is easier to reach Level 100, audio improvements on lower-spec devices, fixes for visual glitches, including pixelated smoke, and more. Developers also addressed the currently non-working Eliminator, an online mode gamers used to farm credits with a Hummer EV exploit. Playground Games plans to re-enable it soon. As a gesture of goodwill, players will get a free McLaren Sabre. Those who used the exploit will not be banned, but developers plan to roll back credits to a maximum of 10M for all who farmed credits using the exploit. You can find the complete changelog for the latest Forza Horizon 6 update here.

    • Microsoft brings Planner Agent to all Microsoft 365 Copilot users by Ivan Jenic Image: Microsoft Microsoft has announced that Planner Agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot is now generally available to all users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. Planner Agent is the latest addition in the string of AI features that Microsoft is implementing across virtually all of its products. The agent lets you manage tasks through natural language prompts directly inside Microsoft 365 Copilot. You can create and update tasks, check priorities, and get insights about current entries without leaving the chat interface. The general availability release comes with a handful of new additions on top of what was available during the initial rollout. A new plan picker lets you search and filter your plans by name, then update task names, statuses, due dates, or priorities through the agent. There's also a goals bucket now, which lets you group tasks under specific goals. This builds on the Goals view, a feature that was introduced as part of the broader Planner refresh that rolled out earlier. Image: Microsoft | Planner Agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot All AI-generated plans and tasks are created in draft mode by default, so you can review and approve changes before anything goes through. This is actually a thoughtful safety feature, because trusting AI to handle all your tasks without a human in the loop is usually a recipe for disaster. Having tasks initially saved as drafts is the best possible middle ground. Microsoft also says that not all tasks are executed equally. Simple tasks get processed quickly, while more complex ones, like building a plan from a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file, are handed to a more capable model. Microsoft says this approach delivers the best performance, but it could also help with usage management, as you won't have to waste tokens on performing simple tasks. Planner Agent is available now across Teams, Loop, SharePoint, and other Microsoft 365 apps for anyone on a Microsoft 365 Copilot subscription.
    • To be clear I'm anti trump, the bigger point is why review this game at all?
