I just got my brand new notebook, its none other than HP Pavilion dv2799 Special Edition with famous "Verve" imprint finish. Before this, I owned an HP Pavilion dv5191 notebook. This one just kills that notebook in every department. From its sleek & sexy design to the power of Intel Core 2 Duo processor. This one has it all!

The system came with following configuration:

Nice notebook (Y) ! However, I still don't like the fact that current HP notebooks have underpowered graphics card. Even Dell is offering better options than what HP has.

that geforce 8400 will leave you crying when playing games.

There is no problem with the GeForce Go 8400 GS as it is quite a good mid-range card which will allow you to play some games at medium to high settings at 800 x 600. A good example is Half-Life 2 which plays really well on it. The problem with this notebook is that it only has 64MB dedicated GDRAM while borrowing the rest of it from the system RAM using Turbo Cache.

Are you sure? To my knowledge 14.1" notebooks have 64MB of RAM while 15.4" notebooks will have 128MB of RAM. 17" notebooks will have the GS version of the GeForce Go *600. This has been the case with HP since the dv1000, dv5000 and the dv8000.
