Auzen X-FI Prelude, does it have the "What you Hear" feature?

Recommended Posts

I have the X-FI Extreme Gamer right now, but I need more....anyways to cut to the chase, does anyone know if it has the "what you hear" feature? Where I can set that as the Windows Default Recording device, and it will record what I hear?

I would assume it does since it is X-FI, but I really can't live without it. Thanks!

Haha thank you Lardipop, how you like the card? You know how the x64 support is? I've read it was pretty good. Also, do you have to install all that bullcrap software?

I think I'm sold on the Auzen, got my tax check back...

The 'bullcrap software' is pretty decent. Sound quality is phenomenal, and I'm very particular.

Running Vista x64 SP1 outputting Dolby Digital Live via Optical to my Z-5500's. The DDL stream has died on me a few times, unchecking and then rechecking the DDL selector in the Console fixes it.

Don't bother with the included drivers, go right to Auzentech's site and grab the latest set. DTS support is less than a month away.

what do you expect to be different? it's still a creative chipset, creative drivers, creative software...

if you NEED the physical connections of the Auzen X-Fi Prelude then go ahead and buy it, but if not stick to X-FI XtremeGamer!

The Creative Console and the THX Console are pretty much necessary pieces of software if you want to use a X-Fi. As far as bloat goes they're pretty well behaved. You can choose not to install MediaSource, SoundFont Studio, etc if you don't use them.

Easy downloading with one click When you click on a download link in a browser, IDM will take over the download and accelerate it. • It's in Experimental (26H2). Settings->Windows Update->Windows Insider Program. Then a) select Experimental, b) below that, select "Advanced Options" (where you will see the three options for "Experimental" builds -> select 26H2 (name change from 25H2 is rolling; so might be 25H2)
