error message when i try to open a game

hey

i just installed Rotr Battle for middle earth and when i open it i get this message EXCEPTION_ACESS_VIOLATION.

The Thread tried to read from or write virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access. Access address 0x035c2000 was written to.

any idea on how to fix it?

What happens is the game tries to access a section of the pagefile that is set aside for system only access. When it does this the program is terminated as the OS will not allow it this access. As its being used by the system.

Right click my computer, goto properties, goto advanced tab, click settings in the performace bit, goto advanced tabin the new performace options window, down the bottom in the virtual memory section click change, use custom size for the page file and set it to 1024 for min and max. If the problem occurs again.. try to set it higher.

I am reading many threads of how BFME 1 and 2 have had many issues with a variety of hardware. Drivers and patches have been released to fix many if not all the problems associated with Access Violation. Make sure you have the latest video drivers and that all the game patches have been applied.
