Prison Break Season 4 Confirmed + Season 3 next air date!

I love the show and all, but doesn't anyone else feel that the show was written for one season? Then when it suddenly became popular, they started really trying hard to come up with the next plots. Season 2 felt a bit forced on story line.

T-Bag certainly has the hardest acting job to pull off. I don't know how the real-life actor isn't going to get stigmatized for the same roles in his career - ditto M.C. (:)) Hall with Dexter.

I watched the first two episodes and i don't know what to think at the moment. I felt the same way i did with the first couple of episodes of season 1. Hopefully the next few episodes will pick up because i'd hate to see this show go down the pan.

I thought the episodes were pretty poor. I just find the storyline to be unbelievable (more-so than the previous seasons) and i'm finding some of the plot to be ridiculous and full of flaws.

But, having said that, i'll probably keep watching until the end.

Heh, you just described Prison Break as a whole!

Totally agree. It defiantly was at it's best the entire first season. I'm liking the quick pace they have set so far in this season though. They have me locked back in for at least a few episodes.

I would not worry about Hall. His character in Six Feet Under was massively different than Dexter and so well done I was afraid he would be typecast after that. He seems to have the acting chops to pull off a few different roles.

Like the last series, it's getting more and more far fetched. Series one was awesome, two was great but three seemed like they were trying to milk it too much and four looks like it's going the same way.

Not to say that it isn't a great show and I will probably keep watching, it's just gone into the realms of fantasy and lost the grittier feeling that the first season had and which made it a better show IMO.

By totally different, I would say totally worse.

Watching the first episode of the 3rd season, I thought it was very poor story writing. The whole thing about the big evil "company" seems so forced. It is like DrunkenMaster said, the show was intended for one season, the plot: break out of prison. Now they're just writing crap revolving around the same characters.

For example: The guy that kills Mahone's wife and kid, why didn't he just wait around till Mahone arrived to kill him. For being able to kill Whistler so easily, he did a very poor job in the rest of the episode as the hitman. Also the whole thing trying to motivate Michael and Lincon to go after the company was also very lame. Another problem is some of the characters are useless outside of the original story in the first prison, i.e. Bellick and Sucre couldn't even pull off a hospital visit and now they're going to be part of this crew... I would have much rather pick up new characters with more intrigue.

PB was always OTT and far fetched. But that mobile data reader was stupid and far too ridiculous.

First two episodes were pretty decent but I definitely hope this is the last season of PB. PB shouldnt have got more than 2 seasons.

some people take it way too seriously, forget about poking holes in the story and saying it's unrealistic and rubbish. You should just watch it for what it is, good tv.

Ehhh I wouldn't call it good as much as I would call it mildly entertaining. It's not as if you're watching paint dry, but it's nowhere near as engaging as other shows.

Its telly thats for sure, good tho its not. Season 1 and Season 2 were awesome from then on its like the creators put ideas in a bowl and picked them out.

Ugh, I've been waiting for someone to say that. I loved season 1, liked season 2 as you have to explain what happens once they get out, but near then the end came and season 3 came. The writing quality is so water down now its sad. They try to be gripping and intense like the original but come off cheesy. Took something good and raped it to death. Can't wait for season 5, because you know there will be one.

Btw, think a mod can edit the title so it just says Season 4 if we are going to discuss it all here.

I will agree that Prison Break is not what it used to be. The whole concept was suppose to last one season really. Season 1 was amazing in many respects and season 2 was also very very good but thats where things got a little railed off the track. Season 3 was interesting and i am glad in a way it was only half a season as it become quite un-interesting only until the last couple of episodes where it got actually exciting to watch but overall pretty dull.

If people can say Prison Break is watered down then just look at Lost.

That show was pretty dire to be honest. The only that was exciting to watch was Season 4 and that's because it was run for only half a season. Season 1, 2 & 3 were pretty boring to say the least.

People saying the plot is being picked out of a hat........the same applies for Lost and just about every show really as this is what happens further down the line in any series.

I cant believe people are comparing LOST (which is probably one of the most well written shows on TV) with PB. PB is nowhere near lost in terms of writing quality.

It thrives on adrenalin rush and not intruiging story telling like LOST.

Hahahahaha you're kidding right? No seriously, that was a joke right?

Hmmm, it felt incredibly "clunky" to me. How can we get all these people together again?

Sona has been closed - that's handy.

And we REALLY have a use for a fat ex prison guard.

Dunno, it keeps getting mroe and more unbelievable. I think if this were a different show, and this were the pilot - I'd have turned off.

    • By the sounds of that wall of Fox News propaganda gibberish attacking the Democratic Party you've already had plenty of "juices" flowing this morning. You've ruined what could have been a productive comment thread with your bias post.
    • (Topic to get the juices flowing this Sunday morning!...) Actually, the situation has almost nothing to do with "lack of skills", especially since assembly-line skills can be taught to anyone, including Americans, certainly. Rather, the inadequacy-to-impossibility of large-scale tech manufacturing in America today, and the reasons why America finds tech manufacturing completely onerous in the 21st century, has to do with politically driven laws amid a plethora of non-scientific, utterly politicized "science-fact" that is patently false, punitive business taxation at every turn, an array of judicial fines of unimaginable scope and complexity, and, last but not least, American unionization strictures that serve to actually slay job creation and hobble all such manufacturing endeavors in America before they can get off the ground. Globalism emerged, they tell us, as the needed answer to American hubris and an unholy American drive to excel. Unless one is buried under mounds of political propaganda, it's easy to see the absurdity of labeling the employees of SpaceX, for instance, as "unskilled labor"... Etc. ad infinitum. At one time in the recent past, American manufacturing prowess was the envy of the world in a wide variety of technical fields! The current federal and state government roadblocks against America becoming competitive globally in tech manufacturing are considerable, it's true, as anyone with a working brain knows. But remarkably, that is only half the story! The other half of the story is, of course, the corporations themselves... Chinese tech manufacturing is simply unassailable in terms of profits, because the Chinese government wants to see its tech manufacturing second-to-none globally so that no companies/nations can compete in terms of ROI, and China has completely succeeded in that goal. Let's tic-off a few things: *Chinese tariff policies are set according to what is considered best for Chinese business, Chinese employees, and the Chinese people. Huge difference with how things are done with tariffs in the US--as the US government (SCOTUS in this case, Congress in others) plainly feels that tariffs are "unfair" for the limited number of citizens who may pay them, whereas nothing is "unfair" when Congress considers the Personal Income Tax rates to be infinitely hike-able, along with infinitely enlarging annual budget deficits. *The Chinese government boldly subsidizes Chinese companies to artificially amplify their profits. *The Chinese government deliberately refuses to avidly demonize Chinese businesses and does not consider Chinese businesses "the enemy", so very unlike American (D)s these days. *Chinese labor laws and businesses are allowed to set their own labor policies according to what Chinese companies consider is best for companies and their employees... Simply put, American workers in tech manufacturing are not allowed to set their own labor policies! It is the height of hypocrisy for Americans to decry working conditions in China while simultaneously ensuring that American products are manufactured in China, not in the US, simply to maximize profits. There is nothing wrong with making a profit, of course, absolutely nothing. But there is plenty wrong with attempts to normalize hypocrisy of this kind! But rank hypocrisy and the (D) party in the US are longtime bedfellows... The current government in Washington is working overtime to see if it can toss out the horribly poor, failed economic policies of the past, while the (D)s still in Washington work very hard to bring back the stupidity whenever possible. With the right policies in place, America can be an infinitely competitive manufacturer.
