Isn't that just the final set of episodes?

Details are sketchy:

As you probably know, the 4th and final season of Prison Break is coming to DVD on June 2nd, following onto home video fairly soon after a two-hour broadcast of the series finale on May 15th. BUT WAIT! The show isn't over just yet:
  • The shocking series conclusion was just the beginning. Secrets revealed and mysteries solved. The truth will blow you away.

That's the text of a studio description for Prison Break - The Final Break, a direct-to-video release that Fox Home Entertainment has mentioned in an early alert to retailers. Available on both DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc starting July 21st, this 88-minute feature will put the exclamation point at the end of a four-year-long "sentence".

The DVD release will come in anamorphic widescreen video, with English 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound and optional Subtitles in English, French and Spanish. Cost is $26.99 SRP in the USA, and CA$37.99 SRP in Canada. It's available to pre-order from Amazon for $18.99 (discounted prices are subject to change at Amazon's discretion, without notice).

The Blu-ray Disc release will come with 1080p high-resolution widescreen video, and English 5.1 DTS HD Master Audio. Optional English, French and Spanish Subtitles are available here as well. Exclusive to the Blu release is the Bonus Material listed on this early alert as "The Old Ball and Chain & Free". Cost is $29.99 SRP for the BD format release, and it is also available to pre-order from Amazon at a discount.

Please bear in mind that this is early information, and could be subject to change. Package art is still pending; stay tuned for that and any updates we receive about the product!

It was never gonna get cancelled has to much of a cult following.

I was just thinking that..

Got me thinking for a second that Prison Break was just going to be cut ><"

However on a more positive note, Im very keen for this new season to finally come out even though its quite far off!!

Still good news to know that it is coming :D

Prison Break has been cut well from the end of the next few episodes...by the end of May the show will be over (minus the summer film type thingy)

Again, it wasn't 'cut' or 'canceled'. The show ended.

Shows just don't end. It's just not the way it goes in Hollywood.

Well maybe I'm incorrect. Some shows like Mash, Friends, Seinfield do end. But its something like 1% or so of shows that get the luxury of a bow at the red curtian.

Lost?

BSG?

ER?

Probably 24 after Day 8?

Seinfeld?

Friends?

Both of those still had ratings through the roof, and NBC was throwing any amount of money possible to keep them going, and they said no. Thats the show ending.

I could list shows that 'ended' for days. Not everything gets canceled.

I edited my post before you said that. I was wrong.

But I do believe this show was cut. The ratings went south after the 2nd season. I even loved the 1st and 2nd season but after that I was pretty disapointed.

The show certainly has and continues to go down hill but I think they just told them to end it at the beginning of this season so in theory episode is right its ending at an end not canceled if it was canceled it wouldn't have an ending just a "wtf why isn't there more" moment.

I could be wrong but I thought a show was canceled when a network will not renew or produce the show any more. Shows such as friends was a different story though. The cast called it quits.

You're right about that. The difference with Prison Break was that they had the luxury of being told early in the season to wrap it up.

So it's not like some other show that gets killed without any forewarning, so it doesn't get a chance to plan an ending.

Here is a question a bit off topic.

If a show such as The Sarah Conner.... does not get renewed in the off season is it Canceled? This is making my head spin haha. Rappy how do you do it!

I think we can boil the terms down to.

Canceled (mid season no shows)

Renewed

Ends - The cast and the Producers come to a agreement to end the show. Has a series finale.

Yeah my theory would be its canceled if it isn't renewed but in a way the show ended like a series finale so it could be taken both ways, if it does return yay if not it ended like a show should end.

Episode will correct anything that's wrong :p

Probably 24 after Day 8?

Didn't 24 get renewed for another 2 days? Day 8 and 9 and also a movie? With the ratings it's getting at the moment, can you really see FOX cancelling (or Ending) it?

It's usually in the Top 3 highest rated on FOX, if you don't include American Idol, top 2, only beaten by House!

As for Prison Break, yes, bring on the end. Glad it's been given an ending, but I didn't expect it to get as bad as this and I'm very liberal when it comes to being critical of TV Shows.

Linc gets jailed for killing Naveen, Micheal again tries breaking him out of jail .. gulp! :|

Haha if they were to bring a new season that would be the storyline but they're not. I like the show but I'm glad they are stopping it now.

Episode 20 looks good. I can't wait.

    • Dbrand thought they could get away with this Steam Machine case, Valve disagreed by David Uzondu Image via Dbrand Dbrand has cancelled its highly anticipated Companion Cube enclosure for the Valve Steam Machine, which it teased back in November of last year with a concept render and sign-up page, because it did not ask Valve for permission first before manufacturing the case. According to Dbrand, it took the "backwards approach" of building the product first before asking for permission from the copyright holder. Seven months of work went into the project, requiring over a thousand engineering hours from the design team. Workers developed forty-four sets of injection molding tools, making a unique mold for each sub-component of the crate. When the Companion Cube went live on Monday last week, it, according to Dbrand, quickly became the second-fastest-selling product in the company's fifteen-year history, racking up orders for hundreds of thousands of units. Customers eagerly bought the $129.95 deluxe edition or the bare-bones $99.95 version, which the manufacturer cheekily branded as the "Poverty Cube". It was around this time that the legal eagles at Valve descended on the accessory maker with a formal demand. The developer pointed out that the iconic block design remains protected intellectual property from the game Portal, so unlicensed sales had to stop. Dbrand said that all its pleas to salvage the project with the Valve team, including proposals to run a properly licensed release under official terms "with their blessing", fell on deaf ears, so it had no choice but to obey and remove every trace of the product from the internet. If you bought the enclosure, the company said that banks will process your refund by the end of this week, but if it still hasn't arrived in your account by then, you should not hesitate to contact support. The Steam Machine itself is a high-performance console that Valve designed directly to bring PC gaming into the living room. It was announced on 12th November 2025 (the same day Dbrand announced the Cube) and runs on the Linux-based SteamOS, the same OS that powers the Steam Deck. As for the price, due to the shortage of memory and storage chips, the hardware cost landed much higher than people were expecting, starting at $1,049 for the 512 model (without a controller) or $1,128 with the new gamepad. The premium 2 TB model pushes those prices even higher, selling at $1,349 for the standalone console and hitting $1,428 if you want the bundle.
    • It's listed #399.99 on Amazon, per your link. It's not $299.99.
    • Wonder how much of this it related to them using something like Mythos. It seems everybody is releasing large numbers of updates in the last few weeks.
