Here is mine with more shadow; I do not know why I am even posting it, WereWolf's is much better.

Thanks, you have to learn how cut an image better.

Actualy I make a new layer with antialiasing vector over original image, adjust all to fit exactly the image under, then make a raster selection from vector, hide layer vector and select the layer of image, then copy this image and voila! I've cut perfectly the image. Practice. :D

Let me show you what I'm trying to say.

Dominik: I've made this in about 5 min. It's my way to do this... :D I'm sure you can do it better, but I'm only explaining my way, if you could explain how would you do maybe I will learn something new, thank you. ;)

thanks guys for the F1 png's... great work.. :)

uhhm..werewolf..i cant seem to open the photoshop file..??? photoshop 7 just opens and nothing else happens??

Because is a PSP image (PSP = Paint Shop Pro), sorry but I use to make all my work in PSP 7.

Wow, that is much better than the one I made. I am going to have to get Paint Shop Pro and learn how to make stuff like that.

I'm sure that you can do the same or even more easy way with Photoshop ... but I don't know how to work with it... :p

Actually,PaintShop and Photoshop are the same, difference is in GUI.I prefer Photoshop because i started to work in it and I like it more than PSP.

It's ok,we use the way we like :) and there's nothing to make better,it's extracted well without any mistake.I wouldn't add the shadow,I'd use 1-2px black outer instead at 70-80% transparency. But that's only my opinion.

In PS7,i do it like this:

1.open the image

2.dublicate the main layer (because it's locked)

3.delete original one

4.create new layer under the duplicated layer

5.use lasso/pen/marquee to delete the stuff around the object

6.merge the two layers

7.add some outer, bright the picture or adjust colors (rarely shadow)

8.adjust the canvas size, center the object

9.make another new layer, and merge all

10.resize to 128x128

well, now it sounds like it's a lot more stuff than you have to do,but it's much faster than your way IMO :)

I'll try to do the same in PSP 7... :p. Thanks.
