try format c:/ fs:ntfs in Outlook Express

that should help you out alot

how would u format iun outlook ? wtf

this is my suggestion, i dont kno if it will work b ut give it a try:

1. Check all your cables

2. Try booting up with an older OS disk (e.x. Windows 9x/ME/2000) if you have any.

3. Make an MS-Dos bootdisk, boot it up and use this command "c:/ fs:ntfs" assuming C is your hard drive.

4. Still doesn't work Check you jumpers on you hard drive and cd-rom drives " happend to me a few times ;)

5. Take it to a Professional Computer Repair person(s).

Toxikk has been notified and has issued an official warning against Not_A_Virus. Please do not acknowledge users like this who will do anything to get the attention they can not get else wise.

keep sucking up son, you'll be a mod one day with your own ego to impose on others!

anyway as i told toxikk a simple search on google found the answer to this smoes problem in about 1 minute

i wish there was some kind of website that used some type of engine to search other websites to find the answers to questions you might have about errors and other stuff....if only

"else wise"? wtf?

This will be the only time I will acknowledge you, after this, your words will fall on deaf ears. For your information, I can not be a mod here as I am a moderator at another site and, I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Neowin prefers it's moderators and such to be exclusive and as great as this community may be, I want to try to help the community I moderate in to grow so that's where I will continue to moderate.

You gave malicioous information to a user for no reason other than your personal enjoyment. He approached the community with an error he could not solve on his own and was hoping the knowledgeable users here would be able to find a solution. Your advice would have destroyed his cd and cost him a nice amount of money. This community is not for you if you do not have the intention of contributing positively.

Obviously you are trying to gain attention from people in order to compensate for a lack of attention from other peers. However, eventually you will not be able ot get that attention and will be banned from Neowin. If you want to make positive contributions, then welcome to Neowin, but otherwise maybe it would be better if you left for now and took time to look at yourself.

if you were gonna help, then why did you wait till after you were warned? just a curious q...

and you don't need to be rude about it. maybe the guy didn't know about sites like that. some people just don't have enough time on their hands to search the net for this kind of stuff. and even if he did, neowin is a pretty reliable place to find good help on things like that, except for when there's people like you posting, so it's not like it was a stupid thing to do...

not enough time?

i typed "ntkrnlmp.exe " into google.com and it came up with about 10 different websites in a couple of seconds.

i also notice that no one else thought of this appearently hair-brained way to find this simple answer so they could only offer guesses and those guesses could have possibly harmed his computer more than anything i said.
