Visual Studio - Missing Debug Menu and Play button?

So, as the topic title says, i'm currently having the problem that i cant debug and run programs from within visual studio.

The whole of the Debug menu doesn't show and neither does the little play button on the toolbar that runs the program.

Any ideas?

Are you able to start debugging via F5 or step into with F10? Which version?

2005 Professional and neither F5 or F10 work. I guess I should re-install it, but it takes forever and a day to do.

Try repairing the install.

It might just be the case where the settings have been jumbled (has someone been fiddling), you should reset VS to it's default settings.

I did, it didn't work :p

Repair install worked, shame my program doesn't :laugh:

Have you opened a solution or just a source file? A single source file cannot be run or debugged; it has to be inside a solution.
