I can't have a stable system with more than (9x300) 2.7 Ghz, FSB Hole on my motherboard is 320 to 336.

The funny thing is that i can boot at 3.240 Ghz (9x360) but computer reboot during windows boot.

I think it's just a bios configuration problem, but i don't find where the problem is.

If somebody can help.

Thx by advance

Nice Config... It's not a cooling problem or lack of power for sure lol! 9 Fans and 1KW PSU.....

You have also top-notch parts that are even a little bit Overkill :p

So you are French Speaking (Ma, en,? , tout, r?el), you can PM me (OR EMAIL) if you wish, I'm a Quebequer.

Talking in French won't be permitted on the forums.

It's as you wish if you prefer talk French PM.

You have XP or Vista?

You have 4GB, so you use x64? Or you stay in 32Bits and have access to only 3.25GB?

You have tried with only 1 8800GTX at stock speeds?

Type "SystemPropertiesAdvanced" in the start menu then hit enter.

Open Settings of "Startup and Recovery"

Uncheck "Automatically Restart" (if already unchecked, don't check it and post back here)

Reboot, overclock to an "unstable" setting and see if it make a blue screen.

im using a Q6600 "Go" as well, and i have read/experienced the same thing.

im sitting at 333MHz FSB right now, and running orthos to check stability.

from what i read theres a fsb hole between 333-400Mhz.

ill give you the specs im using

CPU is at 3Ghz using - X9 multiplyer and a FSB speed of 333Mhz.

timings - 5-5-5-15 @ 2.2V and running at 400Mhz

DDR2 - 800

Type "SystemPropertiesAdvanced" in the start menu then hit enter.

Open Settings of "Startup and Recovery"

Uncheck "Automatically Restart" (if already unchecked, don't check it and post back here)

Reboot, overclock to an "unstable" setting and see if it make a blue screen.

Ok i'll try it tonight ^^.

Berserk87 :

I had already try it...

With this spec my computer boot with a black screen and "overclocking failed" after the second boot.

But Thx for your help.

I'll try again tonight too.

Indeed i have something to do tonight :p

try these.

the last ones i posted got bsod after running orthos for an hour.

5-5-5-15 @ 2.225V

330Mhz FSB

memory is at DDR-790 i think - 400Mhz.

ran orthos for 3 hours, stable.

and this is the best OC ive gotten.

that ram should be able to handle more than that...

so i guess your mobo is limiting your OC, or your bios isnt configured properly.

i would rma your mobo if you still can, see if you can get a gigabyte mobo, they're supposed to be able to OC easily and stable.

ok, i think i really got it this time :p

fsb is at 330Mhz, Ram is at 2.2V, and i left the timings to auto.

im still getting 17s in Super Pi, but with the lower timings it looks like im getting better stability.

running orthos right now, let ya know in 4 hours.
