Berlin - Disco/Club Advise

Hi!

I'm in Berlin for my first time and would like to goto a club/disco this evening. My only two concerns are:

1. I don't want to go somewhere that is dead with no one there.

2. I don't want to go somewhere that is so packed full and just "too cool" for me so that I never get in.

I've been searching online and thought it wouldn't hurt to ask a forum. Any other tips for this American would be helpful. I know very little German. My hotel room is very close to a U-Bahn station so I shouldn't have any problems getting around.
