He was also in one of the best Star Trek episodes ever (I think the best, but eh) The Visitor from DS9. Simply awesome episode, and he was incredibly good in it.

Tony Todd is an awesome actor. And yes, "The Visitor" one of two DS9 episodes to completely move me to tears.

Filming for the new season of 24 is to be suspended for 18 days while the show's team works on revisions to scripts.

The pause in production begins on September 25, when episode 18 has been completed, and will run until October 9. It will not affect plans for the launch of season seven in January, however.

Executive producer Howard Gordon made the decision because he was concerned about the quality of upcoming scripts, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Work on the Fox thriller resumed in April following a break in production caused by the WGA strike. There had previously been filming hiatuses in summer 2007 after producers decided to make changes to the season's plot.

Lead actor Kiefer Sutherland, who plays Jack Bauer, promised earlier this year that the forthcoming season will be the best yet.

Question: What's the latest on Elisha Cuthbert returning to 24? -- Dominic

Ausiello: Ladies and gentleman, we've got a signed contract! Sources confirm to me exclusively that Cuthbert has inked a deal to reprise her role as Jack's lightning rod of an offspring for a season-ending arc that will no doubt trigger a new round of wholly outdated and painfully unfunny cougar jokes. Per my 24 mole, Kim will return minus her old beau (sorry, C. Thomas Howell) and plus a child! That's right, Kim's got a little puma all her own!

24 Kicks Off with a 2 Night 4 Hour Premiere

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Fox will premiere the first new regular episode of "24" in nearly two years on Sunday, January 11, the network said Monday.

The seventh season of the real-time thriller will kick off with a two-hour episode, followed by another two-hour segment the next night. Fox used a similar rollout plan for 2007's sixth season premiere in January 2007.

"Day Seven" opens with the Counter Terrorism Unit dismantled and federal agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) on trial. Bauer's day takes an unexpected turn when former colleague Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard) returns after being presumed dead.

A two-hour prequel movie "24: Redemption" will give viewers a head start on the season when it airs on Sunday, November 23. The movie will feature Jon Voight, making his first series role in 40 years as Bauer's latest uber-nemesis. The veteran actor will also be seen in subsequent regular episodes.

"24" has been a troubled project since it ended its lacklustre sixth season in May 2007. The producers had planned a set-in-Africa story line for Season 7, but that idea fell through, and last summer's production was delayed several times while scripts were reworked.

Filming was then shut down in early December for almost five months because of the Hollywood writers strike, which led to Fox's decision to hold back the entire season until 2009. The strike allowed Sutherland to serve a 48-day jail sentence for drunk-driving without affecting production. This past September, work stopped again because of quality-control issues with some of the scripts.

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
    • CPPC states can also be messed around with in most UEFI settings but aren't as robust as the ones that the Windows Scheduler can provide! Make sure you look into what your motherboard also has before customizing for the Windows Scheduler.
