I'm really surprised by how much I've enjoyed this season. There are still a lot of the same old gimmicks in place, but the show really does seem energized by its move to DC, and perhaps its year break from tv. It seems like each week gets better and better. It's really reclaiming that "edge of your seat" experience I got from the first few seasons.

Anyone wonder why Aaron Pierce or the Presidents daughter didn't have a mobile phone on them? A quick call to the FBI, situation solved? Other than that little annoying bit for me, good episodes!

Yay! My wife and I are finally caught up with 24. The second episode was one of the most intense and best episodes of 24 yet. And that senator after Jack... someone punch his big head already :D

They know who each other are, there was even a scene in where Jack said, "Pierce, right?" to him, either season five or six IIRC.
