Exclusive: '24' moving to New York!

After six seasons in Los Angeles and one in D.C., Jack Bauer is taking his one-man show to Broadway!

Sources confirm to me exclusively that 24 will be relocating to New York next season -- at least on screen. (The show will still be primarily shot in Los Angeles, with some NY location footage mixed in.)

Production on Day 8 gets underway next month, but already details are emerging. In addition to the move to the Big Apple, CTU will make a comeback under the leadership of a new, yet-to-be-cast male character by the name of Brian Hastings. Described as an MBA type with a razor sharp intellect, Hastings will be joined by two new twentysomething agents (one male, one female), as well as Mary Lynn Rajskub's returning Chloe.

As previously reported, Slumdog Millionaire's smarmy game show host, Anil Kapoor, is joining the cast as Arman Hashemi, a Middle Eastern leader on a peacemaking mission in the U.S. Casting is underway for the roles of his brother and wife.

CTU is back!

24 Explodes with LOOK Effects

How the Hollywood VFX Company Createdβ€”and Blew Upβ€”the MissilesBy Debra KaufmanApril 13, 2009

Jack Bauer always saves the day on 24, and this seventh season of the popular political thriller TV series has been no different. Jack is faced with finding a way to prevent the U.S. from being devastated by a host of missiles weaponized with biological pathogens, housed at the Starkwood warehouse complex and controlled by the villainous Jonas Hodges. As the April 7th (12:00 am to 1:00 am, Episode 717) episode ended last week, the evil Hodges showed President Taylor images of the missiles, lined up and ready to go if she doesn't call off the air strike against Starkwood. When Taylor backs down, it seems inevitable that the missiles will be fired, wreaking death and havoc.Instead, during last night's episode (April 14, 1:00 am to 2:00 am, Episode 718), the good guys won again, at least for the moment, when the missiles are destroyed in a huge fireball explosion just seconds after they’re activated. Hollywood-based visual effects facility LOOK Effects created both that very realistic explosion as well as the scenes of the missiles in Episodes 717 and 718, for a total of 19 multi-layered shots.

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
    • CPPC states can also be messed around with in most UEFI settings but aren't as robust as the ones that the Windows Scheduler can provide! Make sure you look into what your motherboard also has before customizing for the Windows Scheduler.
