[Official] Age of Conan

Just for the heck of it I decided to reactivate my sub' and give this a shot again, it has been two days since I reactivated and reinstalled the game and I still can't login and play.

It's funny how after so long they don't even bother fixing the latency issue.

WoW set the bar so high that no other MMORPG can reach it, it any aspect.

If you're saying that AoC is good, then WoW is wtfpwnomggood, and damn it if that word existed WoW would be its definition.

Don't forget EverQuest. If anything, EverQuest set the bar for WoW and any other MMO released. The only MMO to surpass EverQuest in terms of number of subscribers is WoW and probably only because WoW is more mainstream and quite a more recent game. Hell, they still release expansions to the game (one was released just last October) and just celebrated their 10 year anniversary.

Nah, I mean original. Original did set the bar every other MMO, and was amazing how WoW managed to reach it. There are a lot of stuff present in the original EQ that no other MMO has really incorporated either.

I think if some company managed to take all the creative and fun aspects of WoW along with EQ, they would have the best MMO ever.

Source on the director leaving for not being happy with the game? Which he allowed to release too early, I think its more along the lines he got replaced for this and more.

They have an expansion in development, They are throwing out updates, they have recently allowed the use of DX10 on live servers, seems they have enough subs to pay for all this work, eh?

This comment isn't intended at any one in particular, but it seems if its not WoW, or has a fraction of the amount subs WoW does, then in most peoples view an MMORPG is on the fail boat going down the fail river. Why?

I wouldn't say that. Guild Wars, EVE Online, Lord of the Rings Online have all done quite well for themselves. Conan however is on a fail bus. I do wish them good luck though.

Quote:

"I have done my very best making this fabulous game, but I have concluded there are elements which I am dissatisfied with. I have decided to act on this, and as a result I have chosen to leave Funcom."

When there are problems at the top it trickles down. But look if you like the game that's great that you have found some entertainment that you enjoy, that can be difficult in todays market of entertainment overload. I just don't see this game lasting that long. I'm sure no one ever expected Tabula Rasa to shutdown either...

Mkay. Here comes a huuuge bump, but anyways. Out of total boredom and enormously cheap time card offer decided the resub again few days ago (as unluckily missed re-evaluation time) to see what has changed and hows things now. So... was just wondering if thers anyone here still left playing the game on the European side?

    • It's expensive, but I bet it will still sell out just like the Steam Deck and the Steam Controller
    • This is listed as a preview in WU for me. I usually don't grab them as previews; what's your opinion on it so far?
