Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Enterprise Architect

i was chattin 2 my mate and he told me that he was getting Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Enterprise Architect i was wondering what applcaitions are included in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Enterprise Architect?

Also he is gettin the CD version he was asking is it possible to add all the cd onto a DVD as he has a DVD-RW?

Why would you do that?

Anyway copy all the CD's to a same directory and burn a DVD. It would most likely work.

i got a copy of MS VS .NET i wish to install it onto a clean install of MS Win .NET Server 2003/MS Win XP Pro do i need to install anything before i start my installation .NET Framework etc etc?

Just read the documentation that came with the CD. It has installation instructions.

Insert CD1 or DVD it will scan your computer for installed components. If any components are missing, Insert WCU CD and it will install the nessasary components.

Well its clearly documented in the readme that comes with the CD. Now I know you didn't read it. :rolleyes:

i did that bit and step 1,2 & 3 are perfectly shown they are nto grey out any more then when i click step 2 it says use add/remove to install and there is only a remove option in the add/remove

Try this:

Install .NET framework redist and other components from the WCU CD and then insert CD1.

Start>run>type

X:\setup\setup.exe /NO_BSLN_CHECK

is it me or is everyone when i place in the cd the name of the cd is not displayed sam thing with my mate i have tried to find the name but can find it my cuz says it just

CD1 = EN_VS.NETCD1

CD2 = EN_VS.NETCD2

CD3 = EN_VS.NETCD3

CD4 = EN_VS.NETCD4

CD5 = EN_VS.NETCD5

CD6 = EN_VS.NETCD6

CD7 = EN_VS.NETCD7

Other people on the net guess as

VSNETCD1

The first five cds Files can share same name folder since the folder names are similar. Test it before you burn the DVD. I once install it from hard drive (3GB+), all sharing simliar folders. It worked :)

VSENARD1 for CD1, VSNARD2 for CD2 etc. And Vswcud1 for the WCU cd.
