If that isn't installed for you, do a sudo apt-get install camorama then run it. I have the LC VX-3000 and it worked under 7.04 but not under 7.10, and I hadn't tried 8.04. Even when it did work under 7.04 the color was screwed up and it was pixelated as well. I ended up using an older web cam that worked perfectly. Creative PC-CAM 300.
