PS3 has outsold Xbox 360 in Europe

Holy crap! You sure you don't work for Sony Audio, because for a minute i thought you did with that reply.

I would love nothing better for Sony to bring out GREAT & EXCLUSIVE games for the PS3, aswell as get DS3 here in Europe and i have confidence that it WILL(not yet it's not) be a great platform BUT what he is saying is bull**** and you know it. If there was load of great games over XBOX360 then he would have a case and i wouldn't argue against it.

I don't think software can be opinionated on PS3 because at this present time it still doesnt have much and hardly any Exclusives either

No I don't work for Sony, but I support them as I've played and enjoyed each PS.

I'd love to work for them, especially SCEE and make them stop being so incompetent in comparison to SCEA. Bunch of idiots at times.

I just don't understand your mass hate in your posts (well I guess you can hate if you want, but it makes distasteful reading if you bring hate up in every thread you can wedge it in) - The PS3 has good games out just now and some exclusives you can't play anywhere else - Big deal if they aren't your taste, but others like them which is why the console sells.

The way you word some of your posts though it's as if you're talking for everyone, or trying to talk for everyone at least.

Not everyone will like the PS3, just in the same way people do like it - So parties from both sides have to understand that. It's sold well, even during an arguably weak year - So I don't really see how that could be spun negatively, hence my surprise at all this nonsense erupting - Well not "surprise" as such, it's the GH on NW, obviously if a piece of positive news is posted for any console it's taken on a ride through the swamps of hell by some.

i think that the rrod its a big factor in which why many people are now prefering ps3 over xbox360, not every country got the warranty system that its offered in the US.

on the contrary, the UK has a legal minimum 1 year guarantee on everything (more or less). although I do think you're correct in that I'd expect the british people would expect the console to perform flawlessly, without the assumption that it'll eventually fail.

it always happens here :( There are alot of Sony haters/360 fanboys. Just have ignore them. Ignore feature is very useful then you cant see anything they post (Y)

Yeah, that is the main reason that I hardly post here (19 posts since June 2005). I do read the forums a lot at college though. :)

You just seem very heavily one sided. I am not calling you anything of the sort, i want the PS3 to do well just like alot of people like you but i am sick to death of this Sony PR spreading lies and false promises. It not about if the games are not to my taste, alot of them are on XBOX360. The console sells/or has sold because of the Blu-ray capability. I mean work it out, since HD-DVD admitted defeat a lot of PS3s have sold in the last couple of months and people have brought them with no intension to play games on it just movies/or use Blu-ray as there primary usage.

I am talking for myself thanks. The same can be said for you and prehaps everyone else in here. This is my opinion. I really don't know what other people think, let them post in this thread and we will see.

Why is that such a bad thing? sony wants to sell units, the public are happy with what they bought and its doing what they wanted it to do.

Wheres the loss?

I am more biased to one side than the other, a blind man reading this forum could tell you that. Everyone has their preferences.

It's only because of my gaming upbringing and where I've invested my money in previous generations. This generation however the 360 done enough to make me buy it, which has caused a shift in loyalty, however it's clearly not going to take all my loyalty away overnight and stop me liking the PS.

It IS about games not to your taste, at least to the point of you coming in here and practically shredding the games library and saying BR pretty much done it all - Even neutrals will tell you that isn't true. BR helped, but so did the games.

No-one can post in this thread with any credibility and say the PS3 has no games, or hasn't sold any units due to games.

People invest for current games and future games. There is a decent collection of current games on the PS3 now, and as I said, it doesn't matter if it's multiplatform - A good game on your console, is a good game regardless.

Not everyone is in a situation where they can own two consoles, therefore a game being multiplatform aint gonna mean squat to them.

I am you're dark side :D

And eilegz

I think that?s a really sh*tty excuse for not buying a console, It?s like saying majority of marriages fails so I guess I am not going to marry ( : ( my family is forcing me too).

I had both my 360 and PS3 broken once, so you know what I did while waiting for the system to get repaired I went ahead and bought another so I don?t miss playing (both of them went out while waiting for a major game release).

All I am saying is that it?s good that Sony?s doing great in Europe, but that doesn?t mean that Microsoft is doing bad either.

Exactly! (Y)

But for some this console race is all about extremes, it's yes or no, like or hate - There is no middle ground.

Why bother writing it at all then, I might as well just say "Person X is a complete moron /jk ;)" and just because of that little bit at the end it immediately means nothing and is completely irrelevant.

Another question about this is - do you think it will stay this way from now on (with the PS3 on top in Europe) or will it chop and change throughout the year/s?

With Sony hurling out MGS4 soon, I think it will stay this way for a while.

BR may play a part as well if adoption increases.

A price cut would help even more as well.

End of the year will be the biggest battle with the likes of LBP coming out, then GoW2 facing off against RFOM 2 and the ramp up to christmas for sales with bundles and maybe as I said above, price cuts.

I have a feeling it will bob and weave, if either console gets an exclusive title, it will probably affect sales, if Microsoft do decide to go with Bluray, it will bump 360 sales for a while - you can never tell what's around the corner with these things.

    • So what am I quoting from them? I never listened to what Farage or his cronies said. I wanted the U.K to leave the E.u years before the referendum and it had nothing to do with Farage and his cronies. So what country do you live in? Did we work much better together? We were always at logger heads with the E.U because we disagreed with them so much. Maggie was always on at them. I would have thought the E.U was glad to get rid of us as we stopped the integration or made it a two tier. Now without us they can integrate more. I would not have voted out if it was just a trading block and we can still work together on somethings.

    • Apple reportedly looks to blacklisted Chinese memory chips as RAM prices climb by Karthik Mudaliar Image via Apple Apple is reportedly trying to get a clearance from the Trump administration to buy memory from ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) to get some relief from soaring DRAM prices. As per a report by the Financial Times, Apple approached the Commerce Department more than a month ago and also spoke to other officials and allies in Washington. For starters, CXMT is a company that's already been placed on the Pentagon's list of Chinese military companies. The Chinese company is the country's top DRAM maker. For Apple, the timing is certainly awkward but not surprising. Tim Cook had recently warned that Apple would have to raise prices because AI companies are buying up large amounts of memory for data centers, and just like that, Apple raised MacBook and iPad prices. Micron also recently revealed that customers have committed billions of dollars to secure memory supply years in advance, which shows us how aggressive securing infrastructure has become. This gives suppliers such as Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron more leverage, while pushing hardware makers to look for alternatives. CXMT is one of those alternatives, but not the simplest one. Apple has spent many years trying to diversify parts of its supply chain away from China, especially for final assembly, while still depending heavily on Chinese manufacturing and suppliers. Even domestic brands from China are moving towards CXMT and YMTC instead of relying on Samsung, Micron, and SK Hynix. For Apple, though, it would invite more scrutiny than local Chinese companies. For now, this is more like a lobbying effort rather than a confirmed supply deal. There's no official statement from either of the parties. What is clearer, though, is the pressure behind such a request. AI demand has certainly made hardware a bottleneck, and companies are trying everything they can to bring things back to normal, even if that means making politically sensitive choices. Source: Financial Times
    • I did test it a month or so back, but ... the results I expect to be on the first page are not there.
    • Neowin is saying these are good prices? Thats crazy. As others have said they are just ######. Time for big tech to bring down the prices for real not this fake crap.
