6785077276
My PC runs Windows XP SP3 and I'm trying to RDP into my server which runs Windows Server 2003 Web SP2. It was all working fine until today I couldn't login via RDP. Any ideas please? I'm 100% sure I've entered the user/pass correctly. Thank you Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/635608-issues-with-rdp/ Share on other sites
Guest
As it suggests the password is incorrect. This is a standalone server yes, not part of a domain? Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/635608-issues-with-rdp/#findComment-589383412 Share on other sites
Osiris
Well given you get that far in the process its not a connection issue and as the erorr itself suggests seems to be a password issue. If it was a permissions issue it would give you a different message. I would suggest either resetting the admin password, attempting to logon as a different user or creating another profile and attempting to login. Eitherone of those options should correct the problem or more specifically identify the problem. thehodown
Hit the options button to check your domain... As above points you to the answer... anyway the joys of the latest RDP client, I find it quite annoying :( Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/635608-issues-with-rdp/#findComment-589385270 Share on other sites
medium_pimpin
Can you map a network drive to this server? If not, it's a UID or PW issue. If you can, you'd need to ensure this user ID has TS rights. 6785077276
I didn't get to fix the administrator account so I just managed to create a new account instead.
