Will my 360 get too hot here?

Recommended Posts

Hey.

Just received my Xbox 360 Premium + Bundle from Game.co.uk :D

I've set it all up (also connected to my Z-5400's via optical cable. Works great.)

However, the air that gets blown out of the back of the console is quite warm. Is it going to be okay to be left where I've put it?

Thanks.

that should be ok.

Looks like it will be fine judging by the picture as long as it has a couple of cm at the back as well (cant really see that from the pic)

But its recommened to lay the console flat, that way there is no chance of it rocking, falling, or anythign else of that nature.

The console is designed to also stand vertically and as long as its not in the way of people walking past it etc.. theres very little chance of it getting knocked over, ive had mine vertical for a long time and had no issues.

Looks good just where it is. You could lay it flat with the space available but i don't think it will matter too much. If you just brought it from GAME then it should be a falcon chipset and honest not much heat does come out from it, even after a few hours of gaming.

Yeah, it was bought from Game.co.uk on the 2nd May.

On the back of the console, the manufacture date is: 13/03/2008.

Yea it should be a falcon for sure. Mine is from 09/10/2007 and that is a falcon and is nowhere near as hot as my old 2006 model was.

Fantastic! Thanks :)

Just need to sort my gamertag out properly now. Where do you guys get the cool gamertag sigs from?

EDIT: Nm, found out lol :)

Shame all my mates have Wii/PS3 really, so I'll have no messages/friends on Live for a while :/

    • lol it was a typo, fixed! haha imagine an actual 4TB Gen4 NVMe for $40 in 2026
    • Get over it, has nothing to do with my point.
    • I really don't like these rounded corners and huge borders in the viewport. They just waste space without anything in return.
