[Offical] GTA V Wishlist

After playing though GTA IV, we've all got our reservations about what should and should not be in the next iteration of this awesome game. To me, the game is all about 'realism' which Rockstars Dan Houser even said they strive for after each generation of GTA. To me, that is what i'd like to see as well, while as GTA IV was very real compared to the previously versions.
The first thing I noticed when you meet Roman is he seems a little stiff in his movements. I'm not sure if it's the character or the game. I haven't quite noticed it in any other character yet so maybe it's just him? It just didn't seem very fluid motion in the movements. So much for the super duper game engine. Not that it's bad, the game is great. Just a small thing I noticed. Most everything else I want (that I can think of at the moment) has already been listed. I'd really like to see some kind of extended garage where you can store plenty of cars (maybe buy an under ground parking lot?) as I've found it sucks to be only to have 2 cars per safe house in GTA IV. I managed to stick 4 motorcycles in with two cars and when I turned on the game the next day, 3 bikes were gone as well as one car. Bit annoying since I was hoping to collect some of the cars. Luckily, I had a secondary save slot used which let me get the car back. It just never seems like enough. I remember in 3 there was that one place where you could put like 6 cars in the garage and that wasn't enough either haha.

Reminds me of a possible bug I spotted. Say for example you race to the next mission, park the car and walk to where the cutscene starts and your orders are given. Sometimes the car you parked has moved and in some cases, gone altogether. I found a Banshee and once the cutscene had played, I had to walk to the end of the street to find the car. Still, a small problem, but annoying none the less.

The cars disapearing has happened since GTA3 hasn't it? It is a pain but you can always get the cars again i guess, I always put it down to karma in that someone else must have nicked it when i wasn't looking :D

I'd like to be able to play the bowling, darts and pool games in multiplayer that would be good.

Also happened in the original Grand Theft Auto and the sequel :p

I would opt for more destructible environments. A motorcyle you can knock over a stirdy traffic lights just by bumping into them, but driving a truck and hitting a roadside pot plant will bring your vehicle to a dead stop.

I noticed that too, A couple of times I've been getting away from cops in a truck. I just build up speed, flying through traffic and then I bump into a tree. Stopped dead.

Here's a few things I would like.

1. I would like to have Niko in the next game is possible, it would be quite cool to continue his story in a different setting with different characters etc.

2. I want the little things, like special controls on vehicles garbage truck etc. for use whenever and not just in missions.

3. Bring back extra missions on certain vehicles.

I'd love to drive around in an ice cream van again handing out drugged ice creams again.

There's a full on city now far more realistic, let me put out some fires with a fire truck, or save people with an ambulance.

4. Give us a reason to use boats, besides the like 2-3 missions you have to use one, I've never used them again afterwards.

I want Planes back too.

5. us buy stuff, I have loads of money at the end, but pretty much nothing to spend it on.

6. People are miffed at the lack fo clothes options, maybe some type of customizable clothes option?

7. While I don't mind the setting, but for a British developer were always in America, lol.

8. There's Golf courses and skate parks, let us use them properly!

9. Mission select to play past missions would be awesome.

10. give us access to all the vehicles that are in the game.

There are special police vehicles, which is great, but they should be parked somewhere in the city.

Unless someone wants to point me to one, is there a normal maverick helicopter around and not the tours one?

that's my list for now, lol.

Though has anyone tried using a bus?

On Vice City if you stole one and parked next to a bus stop people would actually get on, though I havent tried on GTA4 yet.

New control system, especially for driving.

Played the game a bit more and parts that require you to shoot while driving are nothing short of frustrating. I think they need to reexamine that. I'd also like to see motion a bit more akin to an fps where left is side stepping and the 2nd stick controls rotation. Thatd negate the need also for the really annoying aiming system which to me seems to work ok when your in cover and nothings moving alot but if you need to take a shot at a car comming past for me it more often than not doesnt lock on at all. Finally remove the need to hit A constantly to run.

    • Not even an OLED display on the laptops. Also it seems that the laptop design isn't the same as the Surface Ultra model. Looks like bargain bin at high prices.

    • VirtualBox 7.2.10 by Razvan Serea VirtualBox is a powerful x86 and AMD64/Intel64 virtualization product for enterprise as well as home use. Targeted at server, desktop and embedded use, it is now the only professional-quality virtualization solution that is also Open Source Software. Presently, VirtualBox runs on Windows, Linux, macOS, and Solaris hosts and supports a large number of guest operating systems including but not limited to Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, 7, 8, Windows 10 and Windows 11), DOS/Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4, 2.6, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x and 6.x), Solaris and OpenSolaris, OS/2, OpenBSD, NetBSD and FreeBSD. Some of the features of VirtualBox are: Modularity. VirtualBox has an extremely modular design with well-defined internal programming interfaces and a client/server design. This makes it easy to control it from several interfaces at once: for example, you can start a virtual machine in a typical virtual machine GUI and then control that machine from the command line, or possibly remotely. VirtualBox also comes with a full Software Development Kit: even though it is Open Source Software, you don't have to hack the source to write a new interface for VirtualBox. Virtual machine descriptions in XML. The configuration settings of virtual machines are stored entirely in XML and are independent of the local machines. Virtual machine definitions can therefore easily be ported to other computers. • OK, now ask yourself how are they going to enforce that law? By requiring every single adult to prove their age and provide their legal identity documents to an UNREGULATED 3rd party company that already has a long track record of multiple data breaches. Not to mention, parliament have voted AGAINST this ban, twice, and Starmer is going ahead anyway. So, where's the democracy here, because that looks like dictatorship to me. The solution here is parental responsibility, not government control. Run some public service announcements on TV and UK social media teaching parents how to setup parental controls. That's already been proven to actually work. But the, this is not and has NEVER been about keeping kids safe. It's about control and monitoring. Watching what you're doing online and controlling what you can see and what you can say.
    • Interesting read. I knew the adware was quite controversial at the time, however never realised to the point The Guardian wrote an article about Patchou. I just said no and enjoyed his creation, I’d probably be a lot more wary of something like that today though.
