How to prevent FF3B5 from minimizing to system tray?

It doesn't minimise to system tray, what are you on? :) There is no system tray option or functionality, unless you installed an add-on. Do you mean the Java thingy?

when i click minimize, it goes to my vista system tray.

You must have MinimiseToTray installed. Disable it in Tools > Add-ons

There is no feature in Firefox 3.0 Beta 5 that will minimize it to the systray.

Disable it in Tools > Add-ons

The above does not exist. None of the extensions you posted would cause it. I would close it completely and open up FF 3.0B5 in safemode and then when you close it, see if it minimizes to the tray.

You must have some sort of 3rd party application installed because firefox doesn't support this feature on it's own..
