Hello people,

I've got a problem here and I would really appreciate if u spend a couple of minutes and help me with some suggestions.

After noticing some unusual high temp. reading, I've decided today to open my PC up and dust of the interior (especially areas around the fans). While I was at it I also changed the positions of hard disks and stacked up the wires in order to make room for air flow, I took off the graphics card to properly dust off the fan and the heatsink, then returned in place.

I wired my PC back and turned it on, I checked to make sure that everything was fine in terms of power (fans were spinning and motherboard LED indicate that its on). However, the monitor showed showed that the signal is alternating from "Analog" to "Digital" for more than the usual 1 or 2 times, it kept going till the PC Abruptly suddenly shuts down, after 2 sec it goes back on but still nothing on the monitor. I also noticed that no power is going to the USB (mouse & keyboard) and the DVD-Drive.

thats all I have to say, I'll post a pic of PC later on maybe that would help.

Thank you,

good luck! i had a problem and couldnt figure out wat it was, but after disconnecting and reconnecting EVERYTHING it was magically fixed. i had even rechecked everything, dunno how i missed it but as long as it works now lol

Even money it was a bumped video card, I had almost that exact same issue with a Mac Pro on Friday where it was booting, I could hear it, but it wasn't displaying anything and I double checked all the connections, including the video which looked fine and it slipped just a little bit further into the slot, looked good though!
