I'm having a problem trying to parse this RSS feed using simpleXML:

	&lt;dc:targetCurrency&gt;eur&lt;/dc:targetCurrency&gt;
	&lt;dc:value frequency="daily" decimal="4"&gt;1.2598&lt;/dc:value&gt;

Ideally I'd like to pass the information inside one of the dc: namespaces but my code shown below as a test isn't producing any results:

		$url = 'http://xurrency.com/gbp/feed';

	$rawFeed = file_get_contents($url);	
	$xml = new SimpleXmlElement($rawFeed);

	foreach($xml->channel->item as $item)
	{
		$ns_dc = $item->children('http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/');
		echo $ns_dc->date;
	}

Please help!

Have you tried:

$rawFeed = file_get_contents($url);
$xml = simplexml_load_string($rawFeed);

or even better:

$xml = simplexml_load_file($url);

??

Also, it would be $xml->item, not $xml->channel->item.
