microsoft called me this morning ?

a weird phone number showed up on my cell phones caller id this morning, so i didn't answer. they left a message and it was some lady from microsoft calling for me. she just wanted me to call them back and didn't say why but knew my full name. what could this be about, i mean do they randomly just call people ? i mean i did sign up and download server 2008 a few months ago, but i've since uninstalled it.

well i know i had to fill out a form with my name and phone # before i could get server 2008. i never said i would want to be contacted by phone for anything. so i guess ill just leave it at that.

If Microsoft is anything like Apple, which we all know they aren't ;), when someone saves a cart on the Apple Store site a rep will call them to see if there is any questions or help required in order to help them through the purchase. I'd bet this is something similar, trying to get your thoughts on the evaluation software you downloaded. :)
