Great sources of insider entertainment news I find hehehe

Oh and another update in regards to Dollhouse from the words of miss Day....

The 'lost' 13th episode in which she guest stars will air at Comicon!

Awesome! Though I wasn't soo big on it in the first few episodes, it really picked up around 5 & 6. I am glad Fox actually gave it another chance, a rarity on Fox.

As for Sarah Connor, I think they would be smart to order a 13 episode arc, and put it on a different night. It's possible that with the new Terminator movie next week, it could re-invigorate the franchise and bring in a bigger audience next season if there were to be one.

Great to hear it's coming back. I'm also glad they sorta wrapped it up just in case there wasn't a second season. There's nothing worse than getting near the end of a series and realising they've decided to string it out for another season and you'll be left hanging.

I'm sure anyone reading this has seen the finale so this shouldn't be a spoiler, but just in case I'm gonna hide it. There's just one thing that I couldn't figure out in the last episode:

Why did Ballard end up joining the Dollhouse after spending the whole series trying to take it down? Freeing Millie was a good act, but he could have broken her and Echo out. Unless he wants to take down Alpha and feels he'd be better doing it with the Dollhouse seeing as he's finished in the FBI. It just feels like his swapping sides was a bit rushed.

Also, I get the feeling Topher and Whiskey have a past outside of the Dollhouse. Perhaps a failed relationship. Or even siblings?

^ Agreed about Topher and Whisky having a past. Especially the line about her hating him. I kind of figured she was a Doll in the lead up to the finale so I wasn't all that surprised when it came to light, however it does add a nice addition to the plot come Season 2. As for Ballard working with them, it's the whole part of the problem or part of the solution theory. He's already found the Dollhouse, but in working with them he can protect those inside. While I agree it doesn't get rid of the fact he was so against it, this way he can keep an eye on Carolina which he wants and he can "protect" them all better from the inside. Plus its a nice way to keep his character in the show!

Bonus points for the more screen time for Amy :D She's quite the sexy treat. I avoided this thread for awhile as I hadn't watched it yet. I know I'm a slacker! Just like McFly..

Hell yea Rappy. We've said it before. She can be a new Doll, they're pretty similar to a Terminator as far as acting goes anyways, plus she fits the sexy, young, athletic body type they seem to require ;) Alpha will definitely be back, and evil dolls would be cool.

^ She's what kept me going through Angel!

It's been so long since I've watched it, who was she again on it?

Fox announced its schedule on Monday morning as upfronts week kicked off in New York City.

The network is holding most of its new offerings until midseason when postseason baseball is out of the way. But the musical "Glee" and two comedies -- the animated "The Cleveland Show" and "Brothers" -- will make their debuts in the fall.

The new shows at midseason will be -- as previously reported -- dramas "Human Target" and "Past Life" and "Sons of Tucson," a comedy.

Other news from the release, both explicit and implicit:

-- "Lie to Me" will get the post-"House" boost on Monday nights, while "Fringe" movies to Thursdays, where it will follow "Bones."

-- "So You Think You Can Dance," which has its Season 5 premiere Thursday, will have its first shot at a regular-season berth this fall. On the conference call, Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly said that he thinks "So You Think You Can Dance" will bring more women to the network and be a good companion for "Glee."

-- As we previously reported, the low-rated Joss Whedon show "Dollhouse" has been renewed for its second season in its same Friday time slot. "This is a bet on Joss Whedon," Reilly said.

-- The resilient "Til Death" will return again despite never really finding an audience.

-- Goners: "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," "Sit Down, Shut Up," "Do Not Disturb."

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
