I didn't even know this was on.

Smallville pulled in higher ratings? Thats laughably bad. Especially since CW doesn't even get to air Smallville everywhere at once since some places carry Smackdown in that slot.

I guess we will forever wonder if they kept the correct show between this and SCC.

Maybe SCC would of been a safe bet this season :(

Dollhouse to end...in a few weeks?

On Monday, Dollhouse news site Dollverse.com sent up a distress flare saying the series was in real danger of being yanked soon, meaning fans could be left hanging without a resolution to the complex multiple lives of Echo and company.

The warning sound like more than just fan hand-wringing. The Los Angeles Times reported that both Dollhouse and freshman Fox comedy Brothers (which the complicated drama is inexplicably paired with on Friday night) ?are struggling and likely will be gone in weeks.? The Hollywood Reporter?s James Hibbard and TV Guide?s Matt Roush have also noted the show?s dismal ratings and possible early demise.

The complex series has been ambitious for sure tackling such heady issues as high-tech human trafficking, brainwashing, genetic manipulation and the very nature of the soul. So you can see why it might be a leap for some people to get on board. Two and a Half Men this ain?t. It?s also been a slow starter, not fully finding its stride until late last season.

So, where does that leave fans? In a fighting mood, of course. In this age of internet activism, series faithful have already started up a ?save this show? campaign online at ActivateDollhouse.com. Fans are being encouraged to stream the show at Hulu.com, buy episodes on iTunes, buy the Season 1 DVD and add banners and icons to their websites.

You know what would really suck. If they canned it before the Summer episode which is likely near the end. However seeing the shots of her on set, I'm guessing they have already shot the episode. I'm hoping they will do the same thing as release the extra episodes on DVD/BluRay. But they better not cancel it. They have nothing to replace it with and they've already invested money in it. They cancelled Terminator for it. At least let it run its course. Canning 2 shows because they are impatient to wait until the Season picks up :(

'Dollhouse': Where did it go wrong?

In case you haven?t noticed, Dollhouse is tanking. It?s second season premiere didn?t perform well in the ratings, and last Friday?s episode did even worse ? Stargate Universe kicked it in the cortex. Dollhouse is in very real danger of being canceled. Why isn?t it doing better? Where did Joss Whedon and company go wrong?

Perhaps that isn?t fair ? the blame can?t be put on Whedon?s shoulders alone. There is Fox?s decision to leave Dollhouse on Friday nights, bereft of any real advertising support ? a programming block of one. If Fox really wanted to give Dollhouse a chance, they?d have paired it with Bones or Fringe, and not after a pair of sitcoms (one of which stars Michael Strahan) that no one is watching. Stargate Universe did well because Syfy Channel has been pushing it relentlessly, hammering it into their audience that something new is coming down the pike.

But the thing you can level at the Dollhouse writers and producers is the middling way the show came out of the gate. Whedon has always been great at ending TV seasons ? Buffy and Angel have tons of memorable season finales, and Dollhouse?s S1 ultimatum was terrific ? but not so great at starting them. Listen, I?m all for Joss taking his time to build his universe and layer his stories with emotional substance topped with an action frosting. But anyone looking objectively at the Dollhouse situation for the season would have to see that the show has its back against the wall. It?s the fourth quarter and Team Dollhouse is down by a whole mess of points ? it?s not the time to do slow burn undercovery episodes. Dollhouse needed to score, early and often, and it didn?t.

Is it too late? I fear that it might be. Whedon and company are telling the stories they want to tell ? and unless those stories suddenly bring the whup-ass in the next couple of weeks, they might not get to tell them for much longer. The saddest part of it is that I desperately want Whedon and Dollhouse to succeed ? I want smart genre content to work on broadcast television, so that networks will continue to take risks on programming that doesn?t have a host. I just hope that it gets the chance.

    • I agree. I also think Phil stayed too long. They should definitely fire whoever thought all a console platform needed was Call of Duty, Elder Scrolls, and Fallout to survive. Asha and crew are still saying they need more Elder Scrolls and Fallout games. They simply don't get it.

    • Mozilla highlights Firefox Nova 2026 redesign and more upcoming features with new roadmap by Sayan Sen Last month Mozilla confirmed that Firefox was set to get a major redesign this year. Dubbed "Project Nova", it can already be tested and will roll out to all users later this year. The idea is to keep the browser competitive in a rapidly evolving internet landscape. As such the revamp focuses on improving privacy, usability, performance, accessibility, and customization. Key privacy features including the built-in VPN, private browsing mode, and Enhanced Tracking Protection, will be more visible and easier to manage, while users will have the option to disable AI features entirely through a dedicated kill switch. Additionally, the redesign promises faster page loading, the return of Compact mode, expanded personalization options, and stronger accessibility support. You can find the full details in the dedicated piece linked above. In a new blog post today the company once again reiterated on Nova and also emphasized other new and upcoming features like the settings revamp that is intended to make it easier for users to understand browser settings. In order to make it simpler for users to keep up with such features Mozilla today is launching Firefox roadmap. Hence enthusiasts and interested users will be able to check out what's cooking and also share feedback about the upcoming additions. Alongside the roadmap announcement, Mozilla also highlighted what's new in Firefox 152. One of the biggest additions is the arrival of Tab Groups on Android. The feature, which has already been helping desktop users organize large numbers of tabs, is now beginning to roll out on mobile. Users will be able to group related tabs together, assign names and colors to them, and return to them later. Mozilla says support for iOS will arrive later this year. Firefox 152 also introduces the aforementioned redesigned Settings experience. The company says the changes are meant to make controls easier to find and help users discover features they may not have previously known about. Existing preferences are not changing, though they are now better organized. Another notable addition is the new Blocked Tracker Widget, which provides a visual overview of Firefox's privacy protections by showing how many trackers have been blocked over time and the types of tracking activity the browser has stopped. Looking ahead, Mozilla revealed several upcoming roadmap features. They include customizable keyboard shortcuts, as well as enhanced PDF editing tools that will allow documents to be split, merged, and reorganized directly within Firefox. The company is also working on bringing Multi-Account Containers into the native Firefox experience thus removing the need for a separate extension. Meanwhile Firefox's built-in VPN is set to expand to mobile devices. Mozilla is also developing AI-powered features like Quick Answers, which can provide concise responses to voice queries, and Smart Window, its optional AI browsing experience that is now available without a waitlist. Finally, a new Power Saving Mode is in the works and will help reduce the impact of resource-heavy tabs on mobile devices in order to extend battery life. The video below summarizes the upcoming changes in an easy to understand format: You can find the announcement blog post here on Mozilla's official website.
    • Dead on arrival at that price. Like they missed the mark by multiple hundreds of dollars - this should actually undercut the Macbook Air at $899 if they want any sort of sales / further adoption of WoA
