I REALLY hope they'll do a Warrior Within movie! Now that was a frickin fantastic game, one of my favs TBH.

It'd look good on the big screen if done right

i think they've mixed elements from the first 2 games together a bit if you watch the trailer carefully, i dont want to give away anything with spoilers. (or maybe i'm just seeing things)

just remembering back to playing sands of time and warrior within makes me want to play rival swords/two thrones even though i heard it wasnt as good as the previous installments

The trailer looks good. I think it'll be a fun, entertaining summer blockbuster and it looks like it's keeping the feel of the game, Sands of Time.

I just have one question though; Why for being called the "Prince of PERSIA" do many characters, including said Prince, seem to have English accents?

For the same reason foreign characters speak English and aliens speak English [in movies]: people don't like to read subtitles.

I have a feeling it's going to be a flop. Jake Gyllenhaal doesn't look Persian at ALL and the girl doesn't seem adequate for the role as well. If you are making a movie about Prince of "Persia", you'd expect the actors to at least look like someone from that time and land.

Avatar on the other hand looks to be EPIC.

Yeah but subtitles aside you can put on the accent without speaking the language. Well...Some actors can anyways.

Ah well. It is what it is and PoP is a Jerry Bruckheimer produced summer blockbuster. It could be worse - It could be a Michael Bay produced or directed film. Then instead of British accents we'd be getting American ones and a product placement every five seconds.

I actually hate the fake accents most of the time. And I would be mad if I had to endure arabic and indian accent in the entire movie. Its much more sensible to go with the original accents of the actors/market for which the movie is being made that is UK or US.

    • I just wish they would put more love into Virtual Desktops. There is just so much more they could do.
    • Sounds like you just skimmed over the review, I answer all those questions in it. Although I admit I did not test if DTS works over the headphones, when I get some time I will test this. My personal use case is more speaker-driven (I cover this in the review too).
    • It actually does the same exact thing as yours, 7.1 virtual surround over headphones. From the product page: "Experience sound that surrounds you with 7.1 virtual surround, delivering a wider, more immersive soundstage for movies, games, and music." So both of them are two channel, with 7.1 virtual surround that only work in Headphones mode.
