MSN Messenger Plus Password Recovery/Hint

Is there anyway to show the hint/reset the password on encrypted chat logs made by MSN Messenger Plus?

those are both for messenger accounts, OP wants to crack encrypted chat logs made by messenger plus. And I don't think it's possible.

The links were useful Neobond, i was hoping that the password for the encrypted files would be the same as the old MSN account associated with them but that wasn't the case :(.

I think that these files were encrypted with an older version of Plus, around dec 2006, and so the option to add a password hint wasn't available because i cant find the hint for my password.

if you've done a clean install (i.e. not install over) at any time between the time of encryption and now, you could pretty much forget about recovering them, even if you have the password it won't work.
