I want to know what Dr. Weir and her Replicators are doing.

Last episode was alright :)

It looks like... They might be using FRAN (McKay's Friendly Replicator ANdroid) to explore that story.

Also, Picardo has said that Woolsey is going through some changes over the course of this season. It looks like they're turning him into a more likable character. They couldn't have just started him off with a more agreeable attitude, as I doubt the character was originally intended to have this kind of role.

How Fran was totally destroyed with the destruction of the planet?

I do hope to see some super evil Hives from Michael, I mean he can easily take Hive ships and he took an ancient tech jumper, so.... ? hmmmm..

The D. Variations (I won't even attempt to spell that one, damn ship names!) was pretty good. I always love alternative Universe/dimension episodes of any series, especially Stargate and Star Trek.

I wonder who those alien baddies were in the alt. Universe though, when that first one attacked Rodney I swear I thought "Oh look, when did the Borg start invading this Universe also?" heh. What I'd love to see, is that race of aliens, whomever they are, track the Atlantis team back to our Universe, and start some trouble. That would be kick butt.

lol, they were A LOT like the borg.

that episode was quite good. but atlantis is far from sg1 quality. it seems to have loads of individual episodes that sg1 used to have in the early seasons. they're good and all but i would like a bit of story continuation like the later seasons of sg1 seemed like almost all story it was so good.

i hope there is a story..... :s

The last episode was quite interesting (and dramatic). It's nice to see something different this time around. Also, I love episodes that involve alternate realities/universes. It's always so interesting! And to see some new baddies is a welcomed change. I hope they deal with them some more in future episodes. After all they mentioned the alien insignia more than once. I guess that's a hint that we'll see them again.

No comments on last nights episode yet?

I thought it was a rather ingenious way of bringing back that character, but the way it ended - sucked. Not that the ending sucked, but the storyline. I suppose down the road they can revisit it eventually, but eh. Overall though, a rather well done episode, but not the best way to finish the story started in Be All My Sins Remember'd.

Very good episode and it's a shame the story was cut so quickly. It's good to hear there are other technologically advanced races in the Pegasus, and hopefully they'll revisit this storyline again in more detail.

Torri Higginson wouldn't come back for the show, and they did leave a rather nasty cliffhanger for us, with Weir on the bridge of that Aurora class ship.

Had they drawn the story out longer, it would have been harder to justify Weir not returning to her original body.

Still, the ending was quite sad.

The episode was good but it felt incomplete. For instance, what did they do with the newly acquired data? Surely their would've been something in there to catch their eye. After all, the subspace replicators embodied the computer systems of many technologically advanced civilizations. The ending was quite sad though. I really didn't see it coming.

    • "just $100 per TB"? Just? Are we trying to make this seem like the new normal? Kinda weird to make it sound like that is not a ridiculously expensive asking price.
    • The reviews you refer to mean nothing. Where there is no journalism there is no reason to call the gaming media's opinion pieces "reviews". For GP games there is indeed a metric for success - increasing subscriptions. Which turns in revenue. The only circumstance in which subs do not rise when great is being released is a Game Pass system where the company is close to fully saturated with customers in a subscription. However, in that case as the theory goes you spend aplenty in all kind of games - from shady live service cash cows and customer offending agitprop crap in purple colours to robust and entertaining single player games. And keep a solid level of profitability. Ignoring the simply innocuous but mid games MGS has released primarily of the second kind.
    • Report: Microsoft to use AWS to help GitHub deal with a major surge in demand by Pradeep Viswanathan Thanks to the surge of coding AI agents, GitHub's usage has skyrocketed over the past 12 months. To meet this demand, GitHub started with a plan in October 2025 to increase capacity by 10x. However, by early this year, the company realized that it needed 30x scale. This rapid growth has caused severe strain on the platform's reliability, resulting in several small outages over the past few months. In April, GitHub published a long blog post explaining the steps it is taking to resolve these reliability issues. In the post, the company also confirmed that it is working toward a multi-cloud architecture for better resilience. Today, Business Insider reported that GitHub is turning to Amazon Web Services to help deal with a major surge in AI-driven coding activity. It is important to note that GitHub is still in the process of moving completely to the Azure cloud. The current plan is to move the platform fully to Azure by 2027 so that it can scale better as per developer demand. Therefore, the current decision to utilize AWS might be part of a short-term plan to meet immediate demand. A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed that GitHub is using multiple cloud providers with the following statement: For Microsoft, the decision highlights the operational pressure behind the AI boom. GitHub has to stay reliable for developers at a time when rivals such as Codex, Cursor, Claude Code, and other AI coding tools are gaining attention. And the decision to use AWS for computing capacity seems practical given the circumstances.
