As far as I can go with screenshots, once I go to the larger space view, my screenies turn black..

and yes, I know.. its the enterprise.. I'm a dork.. .-.

Oh look at that... didn't realize my home planet had rings.. o_O

and I love how they color coded the orbits of planets, planets that are too close to the sun tend to usually be too hot and uninhabitable.. Green denotes a planet that has the capability to be Earth like, and planets too far away tend to be cold..

Oh and my Fav planet, Arcel, found this little guy orbiting a gas giant and I decided to teraform it, and no, it's a DX9 title.

I have a Dx9 card and the details are all on Medium, on high it lags me in Vista, not sure how it would treat XP.

Anyone know how to take screenshots ingame? I can't get decent ones because print screen keeps giving me black shots..

In the shot with more water, I just used an Atmosphere Generator to increase water levels.

and in that little time, after thickening the atmosphere, my planet's vegetation dried out due to a greenhouse effect from the thicker atmosphere. -.- Good thing I didn't save. I think if I grab the next tier of plants and animals from my planet and place it here, it might stabilize the atmosphere..

The moon before I got my hands on it, looked identical to our moon, I hit the planet with a water tool, it carved out the oceans and I added plants and animals according to the Food chart on the lower left hand side of the screen.

pretty mixed reviews... i guess with the wide spectrum of civilization you can control, the depth at each stage is somewhat limited.

I think some of you guys just hyped it up for yourself too much possibly. Like I said, I didn't pay much attention to the development and I'm loving the game. I wouldn't say it's GOTY, but it's not like the game doesn't deliver on what it says it does..

Really enjoying it here. :) If you need thousands of layers of depth, missions, campaigns, etc to enjoy a game, you're looking in the wrong place. Spore is definitely a game for those with imagination or a creative side.

Knowing EA/Maxis, I would not be surprised to see expansion packs.

I didn't like the game very much. I didn't find the game all that entertaining, Not this makes or breaks a game, but the visuals were sub-par.

I saw the very beginning stuff on Spore [when it was first talked about]. Hadn't really paid much attention since then, but I got it and its awesome! I'm still very much a noob [only just got onto land haha] but its fun no matter what your skill level is.

The space age part is... mind-boggling. Kinda like real space. :p It's by far the most involved stage in the game. Civilization is the weakest, IMO.

The gameplay sounds boring.. If you take out the fun of creating your own creatures, etc, how does the game rate? (I'm making a judgment based on the trailers and gameplay previews)

imo it does kinda. there's not really a lot to the game but that is kinda what i imagined so...
