512 megs of ddr333

asus p4pe motherboard

2 80 gig wd special edition hard drives

lian-li pc6083a case

antec 430 power

audigy 2

yamaha f1 44x burner

pioneer 16x slot load

hmm... your score seems to be a little low ... i got almost the same hardware that you got and i benchmarked 4625.... so you migh wanna check your pc for problems...

where would you suggest to look.

everything ( as far as i know ) is fine.

games play great, full detail with no problems.

things did seem pretty choppy though during the 3dmark2003 benchmarks.

i adjusted the settings for my vid card to be set at optimal performance and turned off things like vertical sync and trueform.

any suggestions ?

i thought my score seemed a little low.

Well i read somewhere probably on Neowin that 3DMark03 is geared towards shader performance and directX 9 stuff and all that so the GF4 series wont be up to the challenge as well as a GeForce FX card would be. Dont be bothered about benchmarks they dont really show real world performance and thats all that matters.

You want to spend ?1000's just so you can get a higher benchmark score i have one thing that you should ask yourself "Do i have a life?"

Every time I've executed 3D Mark (now and in the past), it's never NOT depressed me about my current hardware setup.

I got 1081 marks.

Then again, my processor is nearing 2 years old :) And I'm not looking to upgrade. This app is just what computer makers LOVE.

Scored a mere 4512 points : http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=17512

?! How the hell? I have a faster CPU than you and I even oc'ed my 9700 Pro to 350/680 and you have double of my score...?

I did notice that our BIOS version for 9700 is different... can that have anything to do with it... mmm

1479 3DMarks

Athlon XP 2100+

1GB DDR 2700

VisionTek GeForce ti4600

Windows XP

I understand the whole DX9 issue and why Nvidia cards score lower than the ATI 9700s, but I'm still seeing a lot of people with slower CPUs, less RAM and older GeForce cards beat my score. Thought it might be because I'm running a dual display, but disabled that, and the score remained the same.

mine gets 1487 3DMarks

and i have a 1.5ghz p4, 640mb RDRAM, and a GeForce4 Ti4200

i will give a compare link when the site actually works...i tried to send it but it says their server is down...

Yeah, I couldn't submit my results. Perhaps that's what I need to do to show grafXguru how 1337 I am with my "fake, photoshopped" score...

9000+ = instant e-penis...

    • XBOX is at the end of its generational life cycle and wasn't selling much anyway. They need to figure out the pricing for XBOX Helios. However, I'm not buying the DRAM shortage with AI preferring HBM. I think it's industry gouging.
