[Series 11] Top Gear

He's eaten a picture of a car from The Cool Wall before I think.

I always loved Jeremys response to that.

'Hes eaten it!' It just cracks me up.

But this episode was fantastic. James' siren had me rolling, and the amount of flashing lights on Hammonds car - hilarious.

I love Top Gear. :D

I don't think I've ever watched Top Gear, but I do remember reading that its clips are more outlandish, and not really reviewing cars from a racing enthusiast standpoint. Is it more about the laughs?

Half the episode is usually a laugh and doing stupid stuff with cars. The other half is sensible stuff. Its not really a racing program though - more reviewing generally fast cars.

I'm not really a fast car guy - but I mainly watch it for **** taking and a laugh. Whoever didn't lol at the sirens the other day hasn't got a sense of humour.

It's more about laughs nowadays, as their audience is massive. Over 350 million viewers worldwide! When it first began in 2002 (the current format), it was almost entirely serious.

Just so that you know, their hatred for caravans have been there since the beginning. The first caravan I remember being destroyed was destroyed by a drag racer burning it down (after it burnt down a Nissan Sunny earlier).

If you ask me, Top Gear is a car show that's entertaining for anyone. You don't need to know cars to enjoy it.

The stunt man seems like an odd addition but I can imagine it'll be quite amusing watching him badly attempt to do stunts.

The police car segment was hilarious though and I do hope for more of the same throughout the series. Has it been confirmed yet that this season is only running for 6 episodes or can we expect a standard 10-12 ?

only 6 , Jeremy even called it the 2008 summer series.

Again , I didnt enjoy this episode , alot for it I blame Clarkson , he is repeating and contradicting himself over the years.... gets old.

The guests were boring, the police chase was funny but the continuity really annoyed me because it was too obvious to miss and they so much time to edit , feels like someone doesnt give a damn.

The 430 Scuderia was the usual "I'm old and pretend I dont like the technology in cars" , the news section turned into old people rant session.

The fuel economy super car race was just pointless time filler , the cars ended exactly like we expect with the Ferarri first and Audi last.

It was the 2nd top gear episode EVER I didnt watch in full and skipped most of the parts.

The preview did rise my hopes up, and I dying to see the GTR race.

Richard travels to France in Audi's new 572bhp RS6 estate car to take part in a spectacular race with a pair of irritatingly cool skiers.

Jeremy takes the Mercedes CLK Black for a late-night drive on London's deserted streets and accidentally ends up in Wales.

Top Gear Stunt Man returns to recreate one of the most famous car stunts in movie history.

And, bad boys of motoring, the Mitsubishi Evo and Subaru Impreza, fight it out on the test track. Clarkson referees.

Mmmm, RS6 - can't wait till Sunday :D

Radish?

I was at the studio filming of this weeks show and its a really good one! The cool wall is back!!!! And they actually spend most of the episode reviewing cars! watch out of 'red squirrles', and Clarkson has been looking at pictures on the internet ag;)n ;)

Yeah tonights episode was pure TopGear. Plus the Cool Wall was back.

I loved it when Clarkson ripped off Hammonds mic.. I just love his complete disregard for TV norm. This is one of the reasons I love the show.. It's just raw, and you can tell these three guys actually work together behind the scenes instead of having a producer to tell them what to do.

Great stuff. The lack of a challenge was good for a change.

I believe most of top gear is scripted.

Tonights episode was pure cars. Loved that Merc he drove to Wales. Sexy piece of kit.

All three of the presenters go on the hunt for the holy grail of motoring - a reliable used Alfa Romeo - with predictably messy results.

Jeremy takes the new Bentley Brooklands beyond the limit. Way, way beyond, in fact.

And, Gavin and Stacey stars James Corden and Rob Brydon take to the track in our reasonably priced car.

There will be some tires bursting in this episode with Jeremy

Radish?
