Just saw this today, while there was tons of action and it was enjoyable, it wasn't at all what I expected. Far too much comedy...the execs were right, campy.

Sporadically yes, but they portrayed him as a bit of a buffoon which I didn't care for. He did have about 10 seconds of badass near the end, but they even managed to fumble that with a faux pas. They wrote it more as if Kato was the competent one of the pair, didn't like that.

I remember the TV series, the Green Hornet in that was a typical serious superhero determined to get to the bottom of a situation.

More comedy than anything else..... it did get laughs out of me, so I was fairly entertained.
