My New WaterBook Pro

You're in Asia? Perfect!.. Get some rice.. and place the laptop in with it.. The rice will absorb moisture.. help you out a lil' better than anything else.. unless you have those little absorption balls that come with shoes and backpacks and stuff.

Know you didnt mean it like this but you make it sound like you can only buy rice in Asia! Like popping outside and theres just rice lying around in the street or something. :D

Isn't that how it is?

I mean in Australia you walk outside and there is usually a kangaroo which you can hop on and take you to school, or work.

Ahaha I actually lold at that one.

RE using rice: that sounds like a horrible idea! Won't rice get in all of the tiny groves and crevices that laptops have? I'm visualizing a Windows laptop though, I don't know if Macbooks are constructed differently in that regard.

Anyway to the OP... I understand that you must keep using your laptop because of your situation, but you have to look at it in another way. If you don't do something to help the laptop, then it will die, and you will be worse off than if you had lost a couple of days travel/work.

You don't watch enough Discovery Channel.

You watch too much!

Sort of dried up on its own over the past week. There's some damage to the screen (uneven light, streaks, water spots), so i'll be claiming on my travel insurance and then buy the next revision. Hopefully it'll survive my trip to vietnam, cambodia and japan!

rofl how does that happen! that mega fail right there.

Well i was walking close to it and paritially intoxicated, and did not see the pipe laying across the walk way and yeah thats how it happend. It sucked. I am getting my macbook pro next week thou and i am going to stay far away from water entities.

::gasp:: You doubt the mystical Waterbook Pro?!?!? :o

What would he gain by making this up?

um, hello?

This is Neowin, the only reason the Neobahn exists is because people post pictures of cars, because otherwise, it's very very clear that they are the figment of our imagination.

I've been here for 5 years, and my considered opinion?

More pics or it didn't happen! :D

    • That's not what I meant:) I like the tabs being above the URL bar, but previously the tab selection started from the top of the screen (y=0). So I could just quickly push my mouse up and done. Now I have to actually aim it just slightly below the top, because the tab is now a few pixels below the top. In other words, previously I only had to aim with my mouse horizontally, now I have to both vertically and horizontally. Super annoying.
