why the hell can't we win....

Same question.. :pinch:

Answers are simple..

You miss Torres and players depend too much on him now.. sort of like when Henry was at Arsenal.. when he played it lifted players and they knew they cant lose.. also you miss his speed and finishing..

Now Arsenal.. well.. we need players.. the squad is simply not good enf.. and bench has no one to fall back on.. there are some extremely talented youngster that can come in even now.. Vela, Wilshere, Ramsey in particular.. but I can and cannot understand Wenger not exposing them to first league football.. I think some signings would fix that fast.. 3 we must get IMO.. Veloso, Navas and Schwensteiger

I don't think you are right when you say we cannot win without Torres. We beat Man Utd without Gerrard and Torres, and we also beat Chelsea without Torres. Infact, we have been without Fernando for most of the season and we are still sitting top of the league (at least until tonight).

We can win without Torres, but you would always prefer to have him in your team than not. Similarly, yesterday we were also missing Mascherano, Aurelio and Skrtel, who are a big part of our team, and not to mention our manager was at home in bed :p

You chat so much crap its ridiculous.

Not at all, sounds about spot on:

Good youth players, but no real spine and strength (see my post about 3/4 pages ago..). In order to get the best out of the former, you need the latter...

Not sure about Navas, but Veloso would be perfect for the Woolwich in the DM role. Would like him as Spurs too.

As for Schweiny, he's a decent player - would almost be like having a new Freddie Ljungberg. Similar mould really, although Freddy was more LM and Schweiny is more LWF.

Liverpool FC will be top of the league come Christmas day for the first time since 1996.

Did we win the league in 1996? No :p

Just can't believe how many you could have been ahead what with Chelsea and Utd dropping so many points/not playing! I would prefer you lot to win the league (though it pains me to say it) over any of the other lot. Just hope you haven't blown it.

We have dropped points against Aston Villa, Stoke, Tottenham, Fulham, West Ham, Hull and now Arsenal. In all honesty, judging from the way we played in each of those games, we really should have opened up a cushion at the top by now.

Thats Liverpool for you though, we never do it the easy way.

The future is looking rosey though. We can play a lot better than we have so far this season, and Torres, Skrtel and Aurelio will be back soon.

You were lucky to get a point against Arsenal.

You were not the better team and that dope of a ref allowed you to stay in the game.

Come 2009 Arsenal will have key players back plus what we decide to stock from the transfer market will mean we are still in the hunt.

I will say Man U are the most likely premiership winners this season.

I have to agree with that.. we were controlling the game with 10 players.. if Webb hadn't made that blunder.. we could possibly get all 3 points..

having said that.. Arsenal should appeal that red card and prepare for the next game.. what's gone is gone..

Liverpool played better than Arsenal in my opinion. We were the better team.

If Adebayor did not get sent off, I honestly believe we would have won the game. When he went, Arsenal just sat back and we never took advantage of the situation like we should have.

We controlled the game for the most of the season half, and for the first 30 mins of the second half (before Adebayor went), we had something like 78% of the possession.

A lot of neutrals admit we had the better of the game, I just don't think you can see past your love for Arsenal on this occasion.

If we start scoring regularly, perhaps. We win our next two games (Stoke & Boro), we'll be good for the home game against Chelsea.

This season's league is the closest it's ever been (that I remember) and it's near impossible to predict the winner. Liverpool should be comfortably ahead, but they're not. They're still top though, and that's without Torres.

Wonder if AW will finally pull out his chequebook now that Fabregas is as good as out for the season.

I would give Ramsey a chance to impress in the middle in the short run now that Fab is out for 4 months!! :( and then buy when window opens.. looks like Fab and Tomas will be making a come back at the same time in March/April.. can be too late though if we don't buy and keep the difference from top within 3-4 points next year.. Wenger must spend big..

Ramsey has the quality to replace Fabregas now. The problem is though, you cannot play Ramsey in every single game for the next few months as he is still a youngster, and his body is still changing and adapting to the rigours of football.

In my opinion you should alternate Ramsey and Wilkshire in the role.

Wilshere is going on load to West Brom.. my suggestion was to play Ramsey till an experienced player is signed for that position.. Veloso or M'Bia would be nice..

Its Wenger, when was the last time he signed someone the fans wanted?

If I was Wenger, an orthodox tightarse by nature like he is, I would just play Wilshire and Ramsey. Ramsey cannot manage on his own, and Diaby is ****.

Diaby is not the only one.. Song, Bendtner, Eboue.. none of them are good enough to still be playing for Arsenal.. but the frustrating thing is not that Wenger doesn't sign who we want.. its that he is not signing ANY experienced and proven players at all!! its like Arsenal FC is a training academy and players come here ONLY to make a name for themselves and move on! and thats really frustrating..

    • Microsoft resumes forced Copilot app installation on some Windows PCs by Usama Jawad Late last year, Microsoft planned to begin the automatic installation of the Microsoft 365 Copilot app on certain Windows PCs. However, in March 2026, it disabled this process due to a technical issue and informed customers that it would let them know when it would resume. It seems like that was only a temporary respite, as the Redmond tech giant has started the forced installation of the app on eligible devices. In an update on its Message Center for IT admins, Microsoft has informed customers that it is resuming the automatic installation of the Microsoft 365 Copilot on commercial Windows PCs that have Microsoft 365 apps already installed. What this means is that if you have Microsoft Office apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more installed on your Windows PC through a Microsoft 365 license, you'll likely see the Microsoft 365 Copilot app pop up in your Installed Apps section soon, too. Fortunately, IT admins do have some control over this rollout. If they choose to opt out, devices in their tenant won't automatically get the dreaded Copilot app. However, phased rollout via feature flags has already begun and is expected to be completed by the end of June: Feature Flag1: started Jun 4, expected to finish June 10 Feature Flag2: expected to start on June 11, expected to finish on June 17 MSGraph schema rollout: expected to start on June 18, expected to finish on June 24 Feature Flag3: expected to start on June 25, expected to complete by July 1st Microsoft hasn't detailed what the process is to toggle the feature flags in its Message Center, and its public support page does not seem to mention it yet either. The Redmond tech giant has encouraged IT admins to let users know beforehand so they aren't caught by surprise to see a new app seemingly installed without manual interaction or their consent. Users who already have the app installed or are based in the European Economic Area (EEA) are unaffected by this move, which Microsoft has understandably flagged as a "major change".
